Me too, I enjoyed every moment the Westcost Express had on the ice while growing up watching the Canucks. Nazzy was my favourite player.

Def one of the most humble goal scorers in NHL history. Always maintained focus after every goal but also made sure to celebrate with his teammates when they come at him with their excitement.

Yeah and when he did show that emotion, you knew it meant something.

Enjoyed your video. Naslund was absolutely incredible during his prime. As kids we all tried to emulate that deadly wrist shot. Zero release, precise and powerful. Thing of beauty. It's a real shame how it unraveled so quickly. Naslund was never the same after that Moore hit and he had such respect from his team mates that everyone wanted to avenge him. Seeing Naslund and Morrison looking at each other on the the bench after the hit was haunting. They knew that arguably the best line in hockey at the time would be no more. Naslund had a look of guilt on his face when he did nothing wrong.

Remember Markus taking time out of his day to come and do a pep talk to our shitty football team when we were like 14. Super guy and doesn't get enough credit honestly.

Naslund was such a perfect role model. I'm grateful he was our captain and was able to back up the appointment by fulfilling his potential.

Nazzy was the glue that kept the organization afloat between the 1990's Canucks and 2010's Canucks. If they only had a good goalie during that time, no offense to Dan Cloutier, they could have really done something special!

If I had a nickle for every time # 19 was the number of my favorite player in a sport, I'd have 2 nickles (Naslund in the NHL, and Truex Jr. in NASCAR). Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.

Very well done. My earliest memories of hockey are the WCE era Canucks. I remember not being too sad about 2003 because I was still riding the high of seeing them beat St. Louis in round one. I had never seen them win a playoff round before. That said, every now and again I think about how 2003 was such a blown opportunity. It really is a shame they couldn't have gone on a deep run with that team. They were so fun to watch and were truly something special.

Yeah, the offense was dynamite. Having Naslund and Bertuzzi who were so dominant and who stood alongside the league leaders in offensive production was such a thrill. I remember purchasing NHL 2005 with Naslund on the cover. I felt so proud as a fan LOL

It was so heartbreaking to see how fragile a career could be, but it made me cherish him more and to a degree, it made me appreciate the long careers of the Sedins that much more.

Btw think of the “sk” in Örnsköldsvik as a “sh” sound, the way you pronounce it sounds like you got coached by someone from Stockholm ;) Always love these videos

Hahaha I tried. I based my pronunciation off of how Naslund said it during his Canucks jersey retirement speech. I'll remember this for a future Daniel Sedin or Hedman video 🤣
