I personally would leave the skid plate off till after you have the right amount of oil in and then run it for 20 to 30 seconds to check for any leaks by doing this you will not have to remove the plate a second time if a leak is present.

For European vehicles, I like Mann+Hummel and Mahle oil filters.

Leave the beauty cover off during warm weather.ignition coils will thank you.

The Toyota dealer does not use Toyota oil as it is not cost effective. The dealer that does my oil changes uses Mobil 1, Ow20 same thing you have here. I know it is easy to do the oil changes at the house, but taking it to the dealer, I don't have to worry about the old oil. They charge $95 for the service and I get a free wash. The oil alone is about $65 if you do it yourself. 8.5 quarts with filter change.
