This looks amazing! Will it tear if you want it a little thicker ? For dummy cakes I don't like the texture of the Styrofoam showing - but the edges are tricky to prevent tearing with other fondant.

We all love this cake recipe, my family said it was the best cake they ever ate. Can you convert this to a chocolate cake made the same way? If so how?

Can you use ghee instead of flour to make sure gluten develops even less? There is no water in ghee, while there is about 20% water in butter...

Thank you so much for this video! So comprehensive, you covered everything! I made my first ever cake for my SIL’s baby shower (don’t know what came over me to volunteer). Got so many compliments, esp on your buttercream! Already got asked to make the same cake for another baby shower-Told everyone about this video and said anyone can do it if they watch this! 😂🤍

Chocolate goes bad folks (esp. if it contains milk). This is probably not really good to eat at that point.

Hi Liz! This recipe is amazing by the way! I use it to make birthday cakes but the crumb is a little too soft. Can I mix it for 3 or 4 minutes after adding the oil and milk for extra support/structure? I don’t want the taste to change, just need it to be a little more sturdy when applying buttercream. And yes I chill them prior to decorating. Thank you!

What to do if you’ve fed it in the morning & are going to work the day & your starter peaks within 2 -3 hours & you’re not available to make bread for a few more hours & it starts to die back down in that time?

Yes but what if when adding in one bowl you for example add two liquids and you add more than you should’ve and you need to remove some. It would be hard to know remove it once they have mixed 🤷🏻♀️ All of my spoons show 15 ML. It says online that it is the US standard. I guess they ditched the 14.8?

I made the cake this weekend and it was different from what I am used but it was yummy. I did add some simple syrup for extra moisture. I also made the buttercream and I LOVED it. I need to practice icing with it because it os softer that what I am used to but the flavor is amazing
