idk why you'd ever use a heat gun on PLA. You immediately warped the ears from the heat. But I appreciate the video. I ordered some of this PLA and was worried it wouldn't actually work

I tried aluminum etching last night and after 2 minutes it started bubbling and got real thick I got scared. Will it explode on me. It never etched as I took out my metal after 3 mins. So it’s the aluminum that causes this reaction.

Nicely produced clip. Photo-resist will give far superior results. The color and foaming of the Ferric Chloride lead me to think you've added some nitric acid to it.

Great work! I've been trying to make something similar, but I can't figure out how to make bottom that fits to sides, I always get the dimensions and number of stitching holes wrong. Any advice ob that, some formula maybe?

So if you apply it, do you still need to put glue?
@wiretap25
@wiretap25 3 жыл бұрын
I use kapton tape only. I've never used glue, hairspray, abs slurry, painters tape,. etc. Never any issues with 1st layer adhesion. Bed leveling and having the bed heated to the right temp for your type of plastic is key. Having an enclosure and preheating about 30min beforehand helps any warping as well.
