I have gum disease. It's just bas genetics. My great grandma was 40 when she had gum disease and had to get all her teeth pulled, my grandma was around 35 when the same happened to her. One of my uncles and one of my aunts also got gum disease. They were wearing dentures at 30 years old my mom has it she got it in her 30s as well. I just turned 30 and now I have it. They told me its to the point where i need my entire top row of teeth removed and also have 3 impacted wisdom teeth that have infected some teeth. So the entire top teeth need to be removed, three wisdom teeth and a couple of others and i need 2 root canals. So yeah 30 years old and losing all my teeth

Unless you have no debt and no family, then ill stick to root canals and high quality crowns.

I believe that young kids, teenagers, and people with mental illness often neglect their overall health, including oral hygiene. I went to the dentist yesterday for the first time since 2019, and she gave me an A+! No cavities (ever), super healthy gums, and no build-up. The hygienist, as part of the routine evaluation, also agreed no cleaning was necessary. They couldn't believe the condition of my teeth and gums at 50 years old, especially after five years of no dental visits. Discipline is the key. Besides being blessed with good genetics and a good saliva pH, I have excellent dental hygiene habits that took years of discipline instilled by my mother. Besides the normal twice-a-day brushing, I carry a brush and toothpaste to use between meals, especially after desserts and carbs. I floss daily, use a mouthwash with xylitol, and often finish my nighttime routine with a coconut oil rinse. Another tip: drinking green tea offers lots of benefits! If my comment motivates one reader, it was worth posting.

Yeah I like how they say bone grafting is needed but that's if it's in the sinus cavity. This is like the new ongoing scam that they've been using to try to get people to get dental implants, after they removed the tooth you can just pack it with gauze and make sure you keep any food out of it and let it naturally heal

I had my done this morning that mf hurt because first they told me they could save the tooth and just do a build up and crown turn out I was still in pain 2 weeks later so they had to do a root canal it hurt like hell and he numb me pretty good but I could still feel the drilling I cried and he kept putting anesthesia around the two, but I could still feel it until he was able to get down to the nerve and put the anesthesia in there then I didn’t feel it . I will for sure take my ass to get checkups every 6 months because I’m never doing that again 😭

Here in the uk they just pull it out with a screwdriver (with two numbing injections in the gum)

My brother had a deep cleaning just to do it and now his teeth are shifting when otherwise there was never such a thing that happened to him. Then the dentist tried to get him to take them out and get implants. What a quack and of course he did not let the guy touch his teeth anymore after that.
