I wish I could but my goal with these videos is to make them short, around 10 minutes or so just for people to quickly take something from it and move on. I wanted to differ from other replay analysis where others spend 30-40 minutes on one video.

1:38 he also goes towards the right side of the ball and flips left to make sure that he dodges any possible bumps while also not directly giving possession away 2:15 forces drallii to go into the air in case of a bump play or a challenge, zen does well at keeping his momentum after dralii is forced and rotates back letting his mate challenge 2:54 he also stays close to force either a touch up the wall that he can go for whereas if a touch like what happened does happen then its also good time wasting letting his teammate get boost, i only mention this because there are many other positions where people below gc2 very commonly play a situation faster than they should and leave their teammate back on low boost when if they had played it slow their teammate could've gotten boost or at least been in a better position etc. 2:58 quick thing, ops does a great challenge here, maybe not positionally and it could have been a little better but in general he blocks the pass option for dralii which is the only real threat here, he sees zen isn't in the position to save a pass and dralii isn't in the position to save a shot so he dives all in for the pass option and since he did that dralii was unable to make anything of the play 3:56 another small thing is that zen goes for a pinch here most likely because he knows dralii will be on the mid boost ready for a ceiling challenge, he's low boost, he ends up going for a high pinch i assume on purpose since its zen, to give him and his teammate time to reposition, get boost etc 3:20 i personally wouldn't say this surprises me that he goes for a boom, he sees that his teammate is up field and controlling the ball would just get dralii challenging from the side and his mate wouldn't be in the best position to compensate, meanwhile wozyen is far up the pitch, as you see zen ends up following the ball and forces a pretty bad touch from him as last back 3:35 dralii does really good here, he knows zen will be going for a bump on his way back, if i were zen here i would've went for a pass back as it seems like a better options (but of course I'm not zen and he's far better than me but just another viable option) 3:53 what rocket insight shows here I would say is wrong as rotating away leaves dralii in a good position for a solo play, although he would be in a better position to save it and take it to corner if ops makes a good force however in this rank I would assume that dralii scores that every time without interference, even just the threat of the bump from zen puts dralii out of position slightly, even just enough to either save time, waste boost dodging, time getting back, its also closer to the mid boost which was the goal for zen since the only real reason why I assume he didn't rotate back instantly or pass back was because of the mid boost, if dralii gets it and zen passes back then that leaves the first man challenging the back man on the wall and the second man (wozyen) wouldve been there for a pass while zen is low boost 4:07 again "good agression", however the challenge was really good for a number of reasons, for one he challenges with the side of his car, making contact with the ball with the most surface area, not only that the overall play before the challenge was great as he uses a dash onto the side of the goal post then a quick dash on the floor to gain momentum all while boosting to catch wozyen off guard, then also flips into the play so that if woyzen goes to low fifty it into the boost then it at least will roll up the wall or not be direct possession for him 4:09 I don't know why he didn't mention this but zen also uses great awareness to dodge the bump knowing that wozyen was on his corner boost he will almost definitely be looking for a bump 4:13 zen also uses that part of his car to get a soft touch high while also being able to see where dralii is, he doesn't mention this in the video but one thing zen is great at is being able to have good vision of the opponents while going for a play, he gets that touch and also has vision of dralii, in this play its sort of a given however that's another thing to look out for. i cba to analyse the rest lol this has already taken over 20 minutes, i might edit it to finish some other day :)

what is the benefit of the second direction air roll direction? can i just master all air roll imputs for air roll left or do i have to do both
@RocketInsight
@RocketInsight 3 күн бұрын
@palzmah Mastering Air roll left alone is fine but if you really want to be as optimal as possible then mastering both will help. There are sometimes situations in the air where it's quicker and much more easier/efficient to reach a ball using air roll right than air roll left.

Would you be able to replay review for me? I have just over 750hrs (started last September), and I'm currently mid Champ 1. I switched to PC about 2.5 months ago and went from D1 straight to C1 and have been C1 for about a month. My goal is C2 this season, C3 next, and GC1 by the end of next summer. I really like the way you've reviewed this one!! Edit: My ultimate goals are SSL, and possibly competing in CRL and RLCS someday as well...

9:03 Thank you for including my question, and I do believe it answers my question at least for this shorter video format. I did mean more along the lines of within a replay for let's say a C3, at what point would there be a moment to go for a mech vs going for a simpler shot. So like if the ball is in the air, you can wait for it to come down or you can aerial or you can maybe decide to try a flip reset. Just some examples when doing replays would clarify when we're missing out on opportunities. This is assuming the player has trained both fundamentals and mechs extensively and can consistently hit at least a reasonably difficult mech such as a single flip reset. Not saying I'm C3.. I'm C1 in 2s for context. So I've been training air dribbles and double taps which means I'm training the right things according to you. That's good reassurance.
@RocketInsight
@RocketInsight 23 күн бұрын
Ah I see. I understand your question better now. I think it depends on the situation such as if you have time, if mate is ready to follow up after your play, the position of the opponents etc. I'll try my best to include some examples in replays if I have the time hopefully

A lot of bad advice in this. Saying to get closer in every play was immediately followed by the opponents taking possession. Had he "played closer" it would've been a goal in almost every instance.
