I wonder if the person you are reviewing for might find some more value if you provided alternatives to his decisions. I noticed in this video, you spend a good deal of time affirming his choices or noting a mistake made by the mate. While this is nice to hear as the person being analyzed, it might not be quite as helpful, ultimately. At this rank (well above me), it looks like there are significantly less mistakes being made which means the help you could provide might be in thinking of equally valid alternative actions that might have lead to a different (better or worse, we don't know) outcome. For example, suggesting how to cover a potential mistake by mate or just alternative means of attacking/defending in the event he did not think of an option could "crowdsource" improvement. I enjoy the channel, and hope to see you continue to grow. Another great video.

I think a lot of what you said has some merit, although not everything, you give good general advice but don't really go into the thought processes or option coverage, for example at 3 you say that the goal is primarily on his teammate, which to some degree is true, but if he took better pathing and grabbed a pad and spaced out slightly more, he could've interrupted the backboard all together, giving his teammate time to rotate fully back. while its fine to acknowledge teammates mistakes, if there are ways you could've fixed or covered for them , that is preferably from an improvement mindset. You also don't touch on any of his poor aspects of his gameplay like his recovery, at 3:43 you good speed but ignore the fact he just killed all of his momentum on the recovery which makes him very sluggish in followups this also includes his recovery off the bump at 2:17. At 4:40 that fake was an awful decision because his nets open and his team is double committed, but you don't mention that at all. He is lucky there that his teammate realized his bad decision fast enough. at 6:25 ish you tell him to pop in and drive down behind his mate which is probably the correct play since he gave away possession for free, but before he even went to the wall he could've seen his teammate middle by moving his camera then forced a further pop out middle making it extremely deadly pass instead of giving possession up for free, another option was to pop it further up, follow it to ceiling, and then pass or shoot it. pass preferably as his teammate was completely open. at 6:38 he had a reasonably easy open net shot that he just missed but you don't bring this up. at 6:59 u mention how risky it is to push up for a demo in that situation, but while it was risky, the only reason he didn't succeed was his poor demo chasing, with his teammate pushing the ball mid, him turning towards the wall instead of zoning out the opponent from the mid field is what made that such an abysmal attempt. you blame the goal on him not staying behind his teammate which is partially true, but if he used his boost to go back post and grab pads along the way, that was an incredibly ez save as he was sluggishly rotating back at 8:31 you blame his teammate again, which it is partially his fault, but his break tap was the reason he didn't save the ball, playing more aggressively and getting closer to the ball would've helped him cover more of net and keeping his speed would have helped him get to the ball without letting it just fly passed him. at 9:28 you blame his teammate again, but he is the one who gave up possession by panicking and losing control of the ball, that was almost entirely on him, sure his teammate could've been further back, but he had plenty of time to see how close his teammate was and react accordingly by going for a safe 50, instead of panicking and giving a free goal to the opponents. It was mostly because of his mechanical fuq up. at 10:05 you say he should push it with a speedflip altho i would like to correct its not a speedflip, just a diagonal they are 2 different things all speedflips are diagonal flips but not all diagonals are a speedflip in the example it wasnt even a speed flip at all. Another thing is while i partially agree, thats not the only option what he did was fine, it was his poorly controlled air dribble that was the problem. He is air rolling way to much on air dribbles if he wanted full control of it. Hes just making it harder on himself by holding air roll when going for air dribbles. If he had more control, or went for a ceiling musty, or a flip reset into air dribble, or a boom down to his teammate, or go to ceiling push ball back down when he sees opponent prejump those are all other options. saying he should almost always do this limits his options and thinking when in game. again at 10:32 u blame his teammate entirely when it was his fault he got a bad 50 and challenge even tho he was last man, he couldve easily challenged the ball earlier once he saw the other opponent slow down and prepare for that pop, either dusting him, from defensive standpoint he would want to hit the ball to the corner not 50 head on to pop it straight up. at 11 min you say its a kickoff goal, no it wasn't he had a free clear and chose to pass it mid giving up possession, a catch into 50 in the corner was probably more preferable, or a catch into dribble then 50 to give his teammate time to get back. he just gave up possession for free tho which is why it was a goal against him. There are a few times where you complement his bad decisions, for example at 1:35 you say he had good awareness and control, which I wouldn't agree with, he cut off his teammate slowly dribbles in Infront of net, which already is a bad thing, catches it poorly and takes a lot of time to get full control, then proceeds to flick it to the opponents with a poorly executed paddle flick. Another thing is at 5:23 you put the blame on his teammate for him not being able to follow up, the problem is that he stood front post for 3 seconds while his teammate was doing all the work, he wasn't being proactive at all, start by rotating back post then when the preferable 50 happens on your way to back post he could've taken the arc of pads and challenged the wall bounce, not putting him in that 2v1. That wasn't his teammates fault at all. his slowness and overly passive play is the reason. You do bring that up partially but don't go into enough depth or option coverage to show him he had defensive options when spacing out for that 50. Sorry for long comment, this is from a previous SSL now SSL and current top 100/SSL coach so I hope this gave you and maybe the person you are coaching, more insights. overall as I said you had a lot of good advice, but I don't think you go into enough depth on the thought processes, or the different options he has in each situation, there isn't 1 solution to every problem. its a very dynamic and adaptive game and to be at the top you have to see as many of those options as possible, not just one.

I really appreciate the comment and of course I'm more than happy to learn and improve my coaching. Just to reply on a wholistic level to your comment, I tend to pick and choose the errors that are critical, and not every error possible. Although, I did see many of things you timestamped, and I purposefully chose not to comment on them during the editing/analysis phase. The reason is mainly due to two: firstly, I don't want to create an analysis video where I will have pause and comment every few seconds, because if I hyper analysed everything, the video, I feel, won't have a 'flow' to it, since it'll feel like you're watching frame by frame with the amount of pauses and analysis I'd have to do. Secondly, the purpose of my analysis videos is to make sure the videos are not long. I wanted my channel to be different in the sense that people can watch it quickly, around 10-15 mins, and extract whatever they want from it and move on. I don't want to make analysis videos like others out there that are like 40 minutes long. Due to those two reasons, that's why I don't really point out everything. Maybe I should be better at 'selecting' what I talk about, that I can definitely improve on. I hope that makes sense and thank you for the comment!

@@RocketInsightgotchya, you bring up a good point about not making the analysing 40 minutes long, depending on my sessions they can last quite a while so for a video being only about 10-15 minutes, focusing more on generalized perspectives that makes perfect sense. and overall again you did a great job. I just think when people are getting to that SSL level, it is even more important to get into the finer details as the problems people have when reaching the highest level are overall more specific and less generalized. but again i understand you would want to sorta summarize each part and hopefully the person gets the gist of what you are saying to keep the time down.
