I had too seen this clip before so I don't have all that problems. Thanks for the good explanation.

It is absolutely appalling that Susie would take advantage of the Earth like that by using up all of our gravity. Love it!

There is no shortage of fine instruments for people to play, both old and modern. It’s a good thing that a few ancient instruments are being preserved in museums rather than being used up. The Messiah may not sound that good anyway, as is often the case when old instruments show minimal playing wear. Stradivari certainly didn’t hit a home run every time. No violin maker does.

Hello Susan you said "you don't adjust the action using neck relief" and I was wondering what is the correct way to adjust the action? I bought one of these guitars and it has a high action, I couldn't play it more than 15 minutes without getting my left hand tired. Ty for your response. new sub

Fun fact: When selecting wood for his violins, Stradavari would fart into the wood to select the most resonant and warm tone. He would continue this throughout the build process to ensure the instrument maintained the initial tonal quality of the wood. At any point in the process a fart did not produce the desired tonal quality, Stradavari would just shit on it and destroy the instrument. The more you know.

I'm here because I went to snap off a Bay Laurel branch and it was strong and flexible. I gave up. But thought it could be good for a hammer handle. Did some digging and the latin name is Laurus nobilis aka Oregon Myrtle. The wood-database website said, *Common Uses:* Veneer, cabinetry, fine furniture, musical instruments (guitar backs), interior trim, gunstocks, turned objects, and other small specialty items. And went on to say, the wood itself has poor strength values for its weight, and is typically used for more aesthetic purposes, rather than in applications where strength is important.

use a pipette and acetone to wet and release the shell from tape. It will float right off.

You don't need a "tensioner". Just use the weight of your motor pulling down on the belt, set on a hinged shelf. You can set up a bolt to lock it down too, or tighten it beyond the motor weights pull if needed.

You got it a bit wrong. The tapered cut is not equal to the circumfrance as it runs obliquely and not straight around.So that cut edge will be longer than the circumfrance making the angle wrong and hence the following wraps.

Glad to see the little white spots went away after applying a few more coats of CA glue. I have the same spots and was about to sand down to remove them but didn't want to sand through. I'll try n wipe a coat on after I blow as much of the white dust out of the holes then clean with naphtha. Thanks for the video & the insight

For those that have a table saw , you can mark the lines that you need , then use a crosscut sled and cut notches with the table saw ALL ON ONE SIDE of the lines ... Then you can cut a notch in your miter box with the same table saw blade and you can make a pin the exact size of your table saw kerf ... It is much faster than filing them and quite accurate 😊

You are the first and only one to mention that the string is too stiff at the saddle to vibrate. I can add that for every harmonic higher than the base note the note is slightly higher. I put the guitar into an oscilloscope and saw that if the base note is dead on the first harmonic is sharp and the second harmonic is sharper still etc. I put it down to the aspect ratio of the string thickness to the string length. The thinner the string the less the effect. This is why we tune down the low E a few cents , the A a bit less and D right on then again G flat a few cents B a bit less and E right on to make it sound right to the ear on average.

Thank you - it helped me to assemble mine - (same model but not exactly the same assembly ? ) - their instructions & diagrams are nearly useless. And finally, yes it works but it is not a precision tool - too many wobbly loose bits - fence & angle guide move about so I'll have to clamp something better to the table. The bottom door hits underside of table when opened. Cheap.

Hi, I purchased this band saw a few weeks ago to cut tube cane for bagpipe reed manufacture and it worked fine for a few weeks however the bottom belt keeps coming off after a few seconds running , I've done all the set as per your video and used the adjustment you did to get the blade in the centre of the wheels but no luck. BTW your video was great for setting it up, the instructions that came in the box were useless so thanks for that! Hoping you could give some advice. Thanks.

@tomsmart19704 күн бұрын
You have a violin labeled "Stradiuarius," not an original violin. Stradivari died in 1737. The label means nothing. There are millions of cheap factory instruments with that label.
@stevefiorito53793 ай бұрын
I recently bought a new Yamaha classical guitar and the saddle was WAY too thin for the .100" slot. Were all of your strings sharp when you got a good-fitting saddle in place? Was the bridge itself too far forward? In the beginning of your video I thought you were saying that the back of the bridge was pulled up a bit ... like you get with a belly bump. I had one of my acoustics with that issue and I brought the bridge and guitar top down flat with a Bridge Doctor device.

I saw in a video that a very expensive violin was loaned to twoset and although they didn't break it the did banged it and were clowning around alot. These violins have historic values worth more than any player playing it and putting them in danger of being irreversibly damaged. Just saying

That is not entirely correct. It is Paganini's Guarneri del Jèsu violin estimated one billion Euro.
