Sanding in the actual radius...inside the mold...genius! The tape and ca glue!!! Nicely done. We ...“most I know “ will stick it under the heel on the neck. Keep em coming...I learn something every time I click on Su. Gar

Nice. Enjoying the build. Got one of my own going. so much fun, ain't it? Tip;Toss all those spring clamps in the center of the body. You can grab them much easier and faster that way. Can't wait to hear this guitar sing!

Well, I'm really curious about that strap button placement how it will be looking and how well will it hold. Personally I think only acceptable place for strap button is side of the neck heel...

Is SG1 only reference to Susan Gardener or to other SG1 with Colonell O'Neill too? :)

Will we get to see you gurning through the guitar body at the end of the next video, then? It's become a tradition at the successful end of a stage in this build, and I was a little disappointed not to see it this time.

There will be gurning :-)

Have you not seen where Randy Shartiger puts a front strap button on an acoustic?!

I thought you meant the front of guitar. It confuses me when people say front pickup rather than neck pickup. A strap from a button on the heel would be in the way when playing over the top like in my intro

My strap on my guitar goes on the button on the back and tied to the end where you tune it. (No button)

Nice rhythm! You don't really need to protect the wood when using clamps like that. Or even the one hand clamps. Only steel clamps put so much pressure on the surface, that wood gets compressed.
@SusanGardener5 жыл бұрын
Those little clamps have quite sharp feeling edges- I didn’t want to take the risk of a twisted clamp pecking the side

Susan, loved the intro and outro, really looking forward to seeing the guitar completed, but here comes the ticking off. To finish it you are going to need all those fingers, bare skin and slim fingers so close to a fast rotation abrasive! I don’t think so. Please find a better way of holding the work next time. Ps...... I’m old enough to be your father so you have listen.

I did glue the block to another piece of wood. I don’t think the spindle sander is as dangerous as you think. I’ve brushed against it without much damage - just the top layer of skin - no blood. I lose more skin using coarse sandpaper sheets - I tend to lose my fingerprints and can’t open my phone afterwards
