Ah, the joys of whirligig making! It takes a bit of tinkering to get things to work right, but the problem solving is good exercise for the brain if you can keep from getting frustrated and just enjoy the ride. I'm sure there's some math involved in getting the right ratio, but I never took geometry, so I use trial and error. Thanks for stopping by. Have a great week!

Hi musicman! I keep re-painting them. I also spray them with a clearcoat. Lately, I've been giving everything several coats of linseed oil before I paint them.
