15 has a pause/ slow down feature in it. FF remake is almost a 1-1 of it.

Boggles my mind that people thing ff10 is the greatest game but say ff15 sucks. Ff15 is amazing! Great game, and much better than most of the rpgs made these days that have zero challenge to them at all.

i love advent children, aside from returning to cloud being a little more mopy than he was at the end of 7, i enjoyed advent children a lot, i think my two favorite scenes in the whole movie are, when sephiroth shows up and is all "hello....cloud.." and the scene where vincent shows up during the bahamut thing and is like "does anyone know where i can get a cell phone" lmao XD

(p.s. not directed at the video person, just an observation that came to mind when he said ff12 star wars joke) i like how you can tell when someone hasn't played the older final fantasys, when they compare 12 of all things to star wars lmao

xv was such a definitely a rough and confusing game for me at first. I struggled through combat, finding it bland at times or completely underutilizing certain aspects. The story was confusing and hard to follow, in fact i’m lucky to understand it now partially because of my friend who explained everything. but the thing that made me so invested in this mess of a game was the characters. i found the bros funny and relatable at times, i valued every new line of dialogue and rolled my eyes at every stupid little action they did. to me the bros felt human and i loved seeing their dynamics. they kept me dedicated to the game. Even though i first looked at all the dlcs and shows and movies and went “ehhh…that’s a lot of time and money…” i began to really yearn for more. i wanted one more witty pun from ignis, another one of prompto’s bad references, more of gladio’s rough pep talks. even though most other characters got zero to no screen time i could see the potential gush out of them. i was enamored with luna and ravus as time went on, i wondered what more there could be, what more i could make of them. i could see the what ifs that laid in between the cracks of xv and couldn’t help but reach for it. I feel as if ffxv is more than just the game itself, its the ideas. the fandom has shone such a light on the game and i only wish the game had the time to be able to shine that light by itself.

what a beautiful write up on this amazing game. i love how much light continues to be shined on it by dedicated fans who gave it a chance, xv deserves all the love!

Better than Jet Set Radio. But not better than JSRF.

It's my favorite game in the entire series. It managed to do something which the vast majority of RPGs fail at, it made me care about its characters and their fate.
@kjk607Ай бұрын
For a while i said Bomb Rush was better. I recently got a 1st gen Xbox and JSRF. I'm sorry, there's just something really special about JSRF that Bomb Rush didn't replicate. Still a really good game. But JSRF remains the King imo.

The way you described the impact of the bond between the bros is EXACTLY how I feel, and I'm glad someone else gets it and sees the value of it the way I do. Despite FFXV's many, many issues, it's clear the developers and writers put a ton of effort into making these friendships and sense of comradery feel as real and authentic as possible. And the stellar voice acting elevates that to another level. The first time I beat FFXV, I cried. No, I didn't just get misty-eyed or squeak out a few tears. I SOBBED, like I've never sobbed before while playing a video game. And it took me a while to understand why, but eventually it hit me. Noctis and his friends felt real to me. Sure, there were parts of the story that frustrated me and other characters I felt didn't get the attention or screentime they deserved. But where the game succeeded was that it made me feel so deeply for Noctis, Ignis, Gladio, and Prompto, that by the time my journey was over, I felt like I was on that journey with them and I didn't want it to end. It was a very powerful and personal experience. The likes of which I don't think I'll ever have with another video game. That's what FFXV means to me, and why no one can convince me to hate it, no matter its flaws.

Holy crap, halfway through the video and I slammed the like button. I pity the people who played this game when it dropped in 2016, however, having only played the Royal Edition myself, I agree with you 100% on everything. It's not a perfect game, but it is a good/str GREAT game!

I'd say Crisis Core falls into the edgy category, have you looked at Genesis? He's basically Sephiroth x Shadow the Hedgehog with a penchant for poetry
@GhoulFMV3 ай бұрын
i'd say Genesis as a character is absolutely edgy but not in a way that's particularly out there for VII as a whole and also a lot of his edge could be attributed to him being heavily inspired and influenced by Gackt. as a comparison, Vincent is much edgier than Genesis but his inclusion doesn't label the original as an edgy game. CC expands on pre-existing VII lore/characters for the most part which didn't leave a lot of room for full tilt edge, there's aspects for sure but i think it's nowhere near as brazen as a lot of other edgy media at the time especially in it's vibe and overall storytelling/themes. thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts!!
@gordyhowitzer3 ай бұрын
@@GhoulFMV I agree that Vincent is edgier, otoh the whole compilation is edgy in the way that most Nomura designed characters have been ever since Shadow, lol. Really he went off the rails during Kingdom Hearts and never looked back, imo. Not that I mind. The gameplay of DoC never vibed with me, but I still think there's a lot to like about the game.

15 has the special talent of being both great and bad at the same time The map is too empty (not just cities, but monsters) and its hard to "experience" the day/night cycle lore without it doing it more like minecraft The lore/story is great on paper, but it does not flow well and needs a remake treatment or a remix edition to intergrade the dlc and adjust the story around it, make balancing fixes, and expand areas and add more npcs and monsters and then add the festivals (at least the first) as sidequests or minigames I like that you can see how 15 and 7R combat is extremely similar. Because of how 7R does its "wait mode", it allows more abilities to be used while in 15 you can do this, but you have to go into the menu and MANUALLY CHANGE the abilities on the atb shortcut just to use, drastically slowing the combat Too much of the royal/god pilgrimage didn't matter (storywise). The astrals don't matter. Having more royal arms didn't matter 15 isn't a coming of age story. Its a story of a guy whos life broke down and he got forced into sacrifices out ofnowhere Youre right. 15 is carried by the characters

I enjoy playing both games, but Jet Set Radio Future's vibe and music is unmatched. I try not to compare the two, but Bomb Rush Cyberfunk is indeed trying to be a spiritual successor , so its fair to conpare. The game has some bangers, but a lot of songs i prefer to skip. I appreciate BRCF for making me appreciate UK Garage. BRCF'd story was way beyond expectation. I loved the character designs, but i wish the voice acting qas more dynamic. I go back to playing as Red because he's so animated qnd exciting to hear.
