Megadeth's cover of Howlin' Wolf's I Ain't Superstitious is remarkable. And Ministry's rendition of Bob Dylan's Lay Lady Lay takes the song to a whole another level (poor Bob, someone has bettered his work... again). My first thought of one band that rocked covering songs was Type O Negative and their Day Tripper (Medley) (!) in the first place. How they managed to add to that psychedelic vibe in I Want You (She's So Heavy)... masterful. Summer Breeze is such a great one too and having recently heard the original, to my surprise, I have to agree it is not too shabby either.

Im pretty much in agreement with your thoughts. The last album has me in tears... I would however swap wish with songs of a lost world. I can't get over how impactful it is....

6:00 Bill's growls were top notch, amongst best in the business, especially on Symphonies of Sickness! Funny considering he's looked like a blameless schoolgirl, ha ha ha.

You do realise; these bands are big enough without me. I don't think about them outside of this video and it gets me tons of views and new subscribers 🤘

Subscribed as soon as I heard “David Draiman” EDIT: Almost lost me at Stone Temple Pilots 😂😂😂 Try listening to Core and Purple to make sure you haven’t missed out mate.

Except for some bangers Slayer doesn't cut it for me due to Tom's voice and singing. I find it thoroughly bland and annoying, can't get past it. Florida's Monstrosity has grown on me recently: they're more than solid in every facet in my opinion.

Great video! Honestly I love orchid. It’s one of my favourite Opeth albums. They’re one of them bands where everyone’s ranking is going to be quite a lot different, but really enjoy hearing other peoples takes on it. Really been enjoying your videos lately!

I actually agree about Ozzy. Love Black Sabbath, all eras, but Ozzy’s stuff the most. Not a big fan of Ozzy!s solo stuff. I love the song Diary Of A Madman, but nothing much else that really stands out to me. It doesn’t sound terrible, just kinda meh mostly.

Unpopular opinion, but i cannot stand AC/DC. Both Bon Scott and Brian Johnson era... mainly Brian Johnson era as he sounds like elmo with a cold 😂 But yeah this is a solid list I agree with the majority of it. Especially the comments on Ozzy. My only disagreement is Bullet for my Valentine. They're an acquired taste so I get that

Really great tier list mate. I’m a huge fan of The Cure, ever since I was a little one. S: Disintegration, Faith, Pornography, Seventeen Seconds A: Wish, The Head On The Door, Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me B: Three Imaginary Boys, 4:13 Dream, The Top, Bloodflowers, Songs Of A Lost World C: The Cure, Wild Mood Swings The Cure inspire me a lot, so I wouldn’t have any pure negative things to say about them. ❤

Probably not your style, I imagine, but German band RPWL gave Bob Dylan's 1963 song 'Masters of War' an impressive 'Prog Rock' makeover. Also, that bloke with the long braided beard would probably look cool in. a loincloth 😏😈

I was born 10 years before you and got into NWOBHM in 1979. My first gig was the classic Motorhead line up in 1980. I had wanted to go to the Iron Maiden concert in the July but my parents said no! Shame I would liked to have seen Di'Anno RIP with Maiden. Went to Queen at Knebworth (Freddie's last concert with them) and my first 2 Doningtons were 86 and 87. I was a total metalhead. In recovery from addictions myself. I enjoy your outlook and opinions. Subscribed.

Type O is also one of my favourite bands. They were really good in capturing the right vibe/atmosphere for their songs. October Rust is my favourite album. I recently discovered a band called October Noir, which ia basically a complete Type O Negative rip-off. I don't know if they're a tribute band writing original music in Type O style, or that they simply "inspired" by them. I like the stuff I've heard so far, but they sound good because they sound to much like Type O Negative.

No hate but profoundly boring, metalcore stuff, emocore stuff…, r’nb stuff, American’s pop stuff, they all have the same sound, same songs, same shit… I hate megadeth, Beatles and all rock music of last 50 years

Agree with FFDP, never got into their music, avoid it as much as possible. However, came close to seeing them on tour recently because Slaughter to Prevail was opening for them and I love them! Decided not to in the end. Disagree with Ozzy, but I can see why his voice rubs people the wrong way. The music is killer though.

Honestly I can’t hate a band for some reason, I just try to find what I like in an artists and I may go back and find more stuff to like in their catalogue

@JacobMosegris3 сағат бұрын
Yeah I agree. Sure, some bands' music annoys my ears, but then I'll just turn it off and listen to something else. It takes something truly extraordinary for me to hate an artist. My friends really love Disturbed's absolutely atrocious cover of 'The Sound of Silence' (coincidentally a childhood favorite song of mine) and for that I pretty much hate Disturbed. They're easy to hate though, seeing as their frontman is so unlikeable.
