I kinda went all out on building mine but i have to agree with you 100% i build these vqs and notice you van go with h beam cast rods they are cheaper and hold up to 800 hp well recommended in keppinh it around 800 also toemi pon cams, pro cams cost to much head work like springs and valves pon cam are drop in ready

So for a drift chassis 350z this is not accurate. Most tuners can tune out the drive by wire delay and give you more immediate response for your accel which is important in tandem. Second, your ecu will tune your afr to match oem spec until you get a tune. You wont get a huge number, but with full bolt on you will get a good amount more and make sure your afr is where you want it. Especially if you track your z. I recommend buying your own exu if you decide to go this route so you can tune yourself or have someone tune with you that knows how to. Thats where youll get the most bagn for your buck. But in general, getting a stock ecu z tuned is about alot more than just power. Id argue control is more important than power anyways. Stay safe yall.

This would be 10k unless you did it yourself with over 20k in tools, Nissan quoted me over 5k for a stock flywheel, part & labor😢

extra info for those who are learning: upgraded oil pump gear like a billet one can allow you to rev to 8K! This is an important part that every built engine should have. L19s are cool for 600, but if your goal is over 700-800+ ARP 625 aged studs are best suited and way stronger. Pair this power level with a cometic copper HG, 800+ fuel hoops are a must this creates an optimum seal to avoid head lift. Of course you’ll need something like 2x 450 fuel pumps.

And if you’re scared of it, send it back they have 100% guarantee on their stuff so you just want something to complain about obviously aftermarket it’s just what it says aftermarket horsepower is what it says horsepower if you want more horsepower or you upgrade the shit anyway Who buys something and leaves it the way it is I don’t think any actual gearhead does we always improve on shit even when we buy something called experience obviously you don’t have much. What are you 19 lotta other ones on here that doesn’t say the same crap you’re saying maybe you should read theirs or send it back and stop complaining like a woman or an ex
@user-mo1km9oq2c
@user-mo1km9oq2c Жыл бұрын
Oh yeah and why do they call it an aftermarket part because it’s aftermarket if you have any problems with it why wouldn’t you put better welds on it since you think they don’t have good wells and do a little bit more work that’s what I would do instead of knocking a product that I supposedly bought for $700
@user-mo1km9oq2c
@user-mo1km9oq2c Жыл бұрын
You obviously don’t know much I’ve never heard anybody say the wells were going to break or anything else sounds like a lot of horseshit. I know people that ran the same one and never had a problem. Maybe you should stay out of the engine business if you bought a manifold that you didn’t like why did you bother and it’s not $700 it’s more than that.

What is everything I need to do to my VQ to push 500hp reliably? My 06 g35 coupe 5AT has 90k miles. I want to boost my car, but I want to do it somewhat reliably, I need my car to last me a few years. I know I need forged internals, and obviously a turbo kit and a tune, what else needs to be done to ensure both power and reliability?

Just to clarify the 03 and 04 has a benefit from this bc the lower plenum has longer runners. The reason 05 to 07 doesn't get gain is bc the short plenum runners, if your were to switch to the MREV 2 lower plenum (same plenum as the 03 to 04 with longer runners and shaved) you would definitely see gains bc of the runner length. So 05 to 07 buy a MREV2 plenum and spacer and reap the gains.

Please don't make any more uninformed videos. The plenum spacer is a cost effective and extremely easy to install "best bang for your buck" mod. Your dyno examples are beyond misleading, representing 1100+ ft lb VQ35?? You also say koney would be better spend on something to make more sound or paint... sounds very.... ricer

@@Vlad_Shv there's various thicknesses of spacer, you will notice a gain in mid range tq and with some top end power. Although gains are minimal it does make a difference. I would always recommend a tune, spacer or not, DE won't gain alot but you will notice smoother throttle and some reduced limiters.

Popped up as recommended Whoever is doing a rebuild my suggestion DO NOT SPARE MONEY It'll cost less to pay for cash but double in the long term I've built my vq35de with the follow specs for 450Hp which isn't even that impressive but it'll last for over a decade I do not recommend bein retard like me unless you really love the car and that specific engine. Down below I'll list what i put into mine and what's the 2nd best option. Engine: Bored from 95.5 to 96.5mm Domed Forged Pistons with top and skirt coating(6x350) Ti6Al4V H type connecting rod(titanium 1200x6) King racing bearings(230) ARP Studs head+rods(300) NGK Laser Iridium 1g sparkplugs(6x35) Monster Coilplugs 40k(75x6) 4340 Steel(nickel+chromium alloy) inlet valves(12x15) Titanium Exhaust valves(12x35) New pulleys+timing chain kit+gaskets and seals This thing turned out suuuuuper expensive compared to the very explained and detailed video but this will last forever,yes it's capable to withstand over 700hp with ease but the thing is it won't last as long if I push it that much. Maybe itll be fine for a year or 2 but settling it down to 450hp causes to run smoothly with no issue. If you want to rebuild something that'll last for a bit cheaper heres the list: 5140 steel conn rods Forged or to withstand more HP go for 4340 forged(you might feel rattling noise at cold starts if you don't buy coated ones of these) Literally any pistons that are your size and durable(more expensive),if you shove up turbine or supercharger then upgrade these don't be a dumbfk it'll blow a hole thru them.(more boost then get domed to decrease pressure, less boost then buy flat, no boost then buy dished to increase compression) Last but not least upgrade the fking cooler, get a bigger one with 2 fans orrrr install an oil cooler. Also these engined are prone to suck up oil, drill a fking hole that takes 5mins add additional oil level sensor(or check it up every now and then). Get new seals this is what they're ment for...

Unbelievable man I've been doing door panels and door handles for 25 plus years and this one drove me absolutely batshit you might want to tell the people take the hook tool it's on the left side of the plug it's like a little squeeze job you know you could almost take a pair of needle nose and pinch it down or the hook tool like you said but the release is on the left side of the plug the white plug that plugs into the actual door handle to make it so you can actually slide it out like the rear door handle cuz the rear doesn't have a plug but hit me up if you need any tips bro on any other cars I know sometimes it can get frustrating and I needed help and you I mean got me more or less to where I was anyways so thanks for the help man appreciate the video
