I can’t comprehend the patience required to actively hunt down shinies. In the 100+ times I’ve emulated RSE on turbo speed I’ve come across at most 10 full odds shinies in total. And unfortunately about half of them were shiny Hariyama in victory road which isn’t a Pokémon I care much for. I don’t think I came across any shinies of Pokémon that I really cared for in the other instances, either.

Randomly decided to watch some videos on catching shiny starters because I started a new save file after years of not playing. As I'm watching this video on the part where you're talking about shiny uncatchable starly.... a shiny uncatchable starly appeared in my game. I've only done like 10 attempts I just started this 🙃

Yes, in Emerald the battery does not affect the RNG. This is different to Ruby Sapphire but in Emerald you can always hunt no matter the status of the battery.

I love your whole deal! Would honestly love to know how much money you spent on the app during the year, if you're comfortable sharing that? I love the little poses a frankly embarrassing amount but I've heard rumors of the app leaning heavily into microtransactions and I'm not sure how much of that feels required to progress in the game

Thanks man! So for your question, I just cancelled my premium plan after having it active for 2x 6months. I also bought the 10,99€ diamond bundle like 2-3 times to get some stuff during specific events I enjoyed. So in total I spent quite a fair amount, but not an insane amount I'd say. Now I decided after a year with active premium pass I want to continue the game for free and it definitely goes a bit slower! But I was able to build such a solid team during that first year that I don't necessarily need that bonus progress from the premium pass anymore. Maybe I'll talk more on that point if I decide to upload a year 2 compilation!

Sadly not, as Ho-oh is not a shadow Pokémon and only shadow Mons can be shiny in Colo.

With the pomeg berry glitch you can make all mons in there catchable as I said in the video, so it's still a great place for shiny hunters👍🏻

a very cool compilation i also had much fun this game and my favorite shinys are kirlia and larvitar(found freshly this week) also i almost had shiny suicune but the tyracroc near it was shiny instead that made me sad for a short timeXD( i have a tyracroc already) and i still dont have a shiny eevee somehow XD but all in all i cant complain at all hopefully to a second amazing year with many new shinys (i hope i get an shiny aron in the new area thats coming) and i want bagon in the game please xd

You waited 99 sessions (or 3 months) but were rewarded with a shiny event pkm & then with a b2b shiny (also I noticed you found them while you had lvl 33, the 2nd shiny was for the sleep session of 3rd November, then the 3rd shiny on session #103 - RNG def did something with number 3 here). So many good shinies in that year of playing sleep, gg! Would def watch a year 2 compilation. Stay luck!

Hi there and thanks a bunch for the guide! So about the Bonus Disc Master Ball... obviously you can get unlimited, but can you get multiple in the same playthrough? Grüße aus dem Ruhrpott. :)

As far as I know, it's limited to one Master Ball transfer per save file. But thanks to a specific in-game error, you can easily clone Master Balls in-game, if you want to hunt multiple shadow Pokémon in a row. Just switch the position of the master ball with a different ball turn 1 and throw the master ball turn 2. This way you get to keep the Master Ball even though you just caught something with it! this was an awesome video! but im curious, does the shiny lock stay removed after using the lock removal once, or do you have to use the action replay every time?

The shinylock only stays for as long as you keep the game running. Once you soft reset the game or turn off the console you'd need to use the action replay again. So for the hunt, I need to use the action replay daily and start the game through that. Super glad you enjoyed the video!😄

Damn shame you cannot catch a shiny shadow Tyranitar with a Dive Ball since Tyranitar is part of the main story and trading is unlocked after you beat Evice... I love Dive Balls so much...
