Thanks for making this for the community! Not only is it explained really well, but the animated graphics you made also help a lot to understand how generating seeds and especially the queues work. My first shiny in legends.. that Zubat. Spawned 3 seconded before sunlight. I had to reset my game for over half an hour to catch it as it despawned and changed into a stantler. Good shiny hunting tips :)

Just wanted to add that when hunting in mass outbreaks DONT save when the shiny spawns but before you enter said outbreak, otherwise when you reload the save you did in the middle of the battle it will tell you the outbreak is gone. I lost a shiny schyter like this 🙃

Does the term reroll mean how many times you have to restart the game until you eventually get it? So 29 resets until it appears ?

Almost - you don't have to restart the game tho. The rerolls happen once you leave Jubilife Village.

So, in the distortion rooms, if closing the game makes shinies disappear, can it also make them appear? I.E. Can you soft reset inside a distortion room for shinies?

No that is not possible. The reason why the shiny from a distortion room disappears when you close the game is - the whole distortion room itself will disappear if you reset your game.

Does anyone know if Spiritomb is shiny locked?

The initial Spiritomb is shiny locked, however after that encounter you unlock rare Spiritomb spawns, which are not locked. It's one of the rarest shinies in the game tho from what I've heard.
