You guys have been working hard, and as a mill owner who does similar work, I have to say I am wondering about the moisture content of the newly milled lumber and such green timber being used. After a year, how's it looking? Any shrinkage? Also did you treat it? We treat ours with diesel and used motor oil! Keeps bugs off!

So many times I have seen or heard the story of the husband building "his vision of the perfect home" while the wife at some point hates living in a construction site. It always puts massive stress on the relationship. It is so good to see a different example of both of you teamworking and building your dream house together. So cool to see all the skills you have or pick up. And what a nice result. Just lovely.

I love how you two interact with each other, and just get things done that you all as a family get to share! Brandon's knowledge and you all working together on so many different things has saved you all so much money, which I'm glad to see for you all, and the shower is no exception. I can't even imagine, but sure Brandon knows, how much a super nice custom shower like that, built by someone else, would have cost you all. I'm just guessing $10k-$12k maybe? With the snow on the ground, I figured this was filmed a while back and was so glad to see you all were able to find some time to share it. So just a few minutes in and have seen a couple things that have led to blowouts in previous pours we have done.. be careful. Just because you did it successfully a dozen times, the 13th time your corner will blow because you didn't put clips on the bottom of the bottom course.
