I will put the same comment i did on her lallantop show below: (As a Pakistani) 1. Pakistani music has always been better than indian in terms of 'localizing the global music' genre wise i.e. pop, rock, classical, qawwali, rap n hiphop and now even latin, reggaeton etc. We have always been more dynamic especially when you compare the industry sizes of both countries i.e. India is way bigger but still Pakistan is more dynamic. So no we have not been the champions of promoting our local music (except for classical and qawwali that too in a certain class considered 'uncool' by the masses) only rather we have been master augmenters and Coke Studio is the prime example of that. 'Paar Channa de' has atleast 3 kinds of tempos in a single song, how many indian songs have that? 2. Coke Studio is our main thing yes, but only in one category i.e. evolving commercial music, we have Nescafe basement focusing on new and young talent, Pepsi Battle of the bands for band music/rock music, kashmir (melodic), Velo Sound station (electronic and electro pop). On the other hand India is maybe 90% all bollywood music to us outsiders. 3. The most important point she missed and probably Sunidhi addressed, is that Pakistani music is a lot of times just art with minimal commercial or mass appeal in all categories, while Indian music is rarely like that. Yes sometimes there are masterpieces like Pasoori which are a peak overlap of artistic brilliance and also commercial excellence.

Learning classical music was tough for Ajoi and Kaushiki as well as Nusrat, who finished practicing and fell asleep on the same place he sang for the whole day,.. Indian music is tough.

All aspiring singers should watch both this and Kaushikiji's interviews, because they sum up the deepest, most philosophically introspective parts of Indian classical music. Karan you are brilliant as a Podcaster!

Second important thing in India our music instruments are soften and soothing that matches with our languages . Western music is different their music component are thundering that matches their language. Arabian music is very soft that suits their language.

All over world in music industries the music is going to be lost its glory as well as songs some says stagnation but we people of the world going to be harsh and commercialised. Our scientific developments touching the Space but we are handicapped of melody of 1960 and the finest projection of music and films of 1980. At present we have world class scientific projection but loses our old beautification of all round versatilities. Think tank.thank you.
