Very good job. On the carburetor, if you drill out the main jets, that really helps. I checked out the jets in a 22 horsepower Briggs started out at about .044, went to .050 sure made a good difference.
@Kylebythecreek2 күн бұрын
Good tip. I’ve never done that before. I’d have to experiment with that. But I bet it would fix the slight surge it has
@bertgrau39342 күн бұрын
@Kylebythecreek Yes, it probably would. It sure runs much smoother and stronger. It pulls strong in tall or thick grass. I strongly suggest you get a dial calipers to measure where your at to start. On 1 cylinder go smaller say no more than 3 to 4 thousandths

Your paint jobs would look so much better if you actually sprayed like the directions say… light sweeping strokes in a uniform area vs your hammer down circles method. 🫤
@Kylebythecreek3 күн бұрын
I know it drives people crazy. It’s just a lawn mower. I’ve never had a customer complain that my paint job didn’t look like I read the directions

Most flippers don’t paint it at all. I could have sold it as is- which is how I bought it. I’m not sure why people confuse my channel for one of those that does full restorations. I say it everytime, I’m a tractor flipper.
@kc91462 күн бұрын
You don’t get it! You boast that you “only” paid $120 for the machine, your wanting to sell it for $1000, 10x? You have basically nothing in it, you don’t pay income tax on your profits, do you have business/liability insurance? Do you have a business license? No… so the least you could do is sell something a good product! Worry less about the paint & buy a new carburetor so they don’t have a problem a month after purchase. You are worried about the price of an air filter, but not 4 cans of Walmart paint 😒.

I prefer the semigloss too. I mentioned that in the video. But the store didn’t have any glossy paint that matched. So, I thought it was better to match the color as best as I could than to match the finish (gloss)

I own the identical tractor. I’ve had it since new in 2001. You will be hard pressed to find a better machine today. It’s a keeper, with a property like yours. As far as matching MTD paint, you can download the official MTD color chart. Just google MTD-Color-Chart and download the PDF.

TSC has a lot better batteries than Walmart for only a few bucks more and they last several years not just 3/6 months 😮
@Kylebythecreek3 күн бұрын
I went to TSC first, but they only had 250cca batteries in stock. Personally, I haven’t noticed a difference between TSC and Walmart batteries. Certainly TSC is more expensive, but have you noticed them being that much better?

Don't judge a book by it's cover when it comes to batteries. I had two long term projects that both sat up for about five years. I got both of them running a month or so ago. One had a battery from 2017 and the other was from 2018. Both were good, and are still holding a charge a month later.
@Kylebythecreek7 күн бұрын
this one wouldn’t hold a charge, so it was junk. I’m not just judging it by its cover
