I’m a Grandma (70) I would take them if I were the Grandparents, especially if there were offers to help financially and emotionally by spending time with the children. I don’t think this child should have to give up their life plans to raise children when she didn’t want children. It’s a hard situation and maybe there should be shared responsibility?

Time to set your own preferences aside. Think of the emotions these kids are going through. They lost their mother and then the family members don't want them? It's sad to say, but how selfish can a person be when they can't think beyond themselves? There's a time when people need to grow into maturity, and do what is right.

Her parents maybe in their 60s but she doesn't mention their health situations. Her sister chose her and if she didn't want to take them she should have made that clear to her sister before she died. She is an the ah in this because those kids lost their mom and she is basically throwing them to the wolves. The other family members are also the ah.The whole family should be stepping up for those kids. When children lose a parent or in this case the only parent it is devastating for the family to be arguing about how is going to take them is truly disgusting.

I genuinely believe she left her the kids because of her lifestyle. She doesn't have kids she has a high paying job and minimal responsibility so it makes since. However the family could be considered the asshole because 60 isn't to old to raise 3 older kids they're not that young that the grand parents can't do it. Her family wants her to give up her entire life to care for them but they aren't willing to do the same. I don't think that's fair for the aunt. She's literally just starting her life relationship and career. She offered to pay for the resources the kids needed for whoever took them in but they still don't want to step up either. It seems like nobody wants to actually raise these kids and would rather pawn them off and place blame on the aunt. Is it selfish yes but it is her life and it's better for her to be selfish than resent them for "stealing/ruining" her life when she never wanted kids. The kids mental quality of life matter as well as them having shelter and food. They also just suffered major loss so that could also be a reason the family is so adamant she takes them instead.

Not true, my son was born with a knotted cord, they sent my placenta to be examined because it was enlarged & cord had a knot in it! Came back & said it was a true knot & most babies die from this while you're in labor!! Don't give misleading information this is a very serious concern & condition
