Thanks for giving Trump in 2016, Tad. Genius move, Berner.

Great presentation. Interestingly, the greatest resistance to EV transportation comes from 'conservative'/red states when they were/are the ones complaining the most about enviros stopping development! And EVs are only a fraction of what needs to be done on the climate change front.

"Frustration with the system is inversely related to participation in the system." Wow, is he wrong. Several decades ago, the Democratic party abandoned its traditional base of working- and middle-class voters to cater to a professional managerial class at odds with anyone economically below them, and to a corporate-military complex that sucks up public funding. (Thomas Frank has described this political shift in detail.) No amount of participation by these abandoned Democratic voters has been able to shift the corporate Dems back to their traditional base. These voters have been been betrayed by a party that now ignores their interests, and their frustration is all the more severe because they remain participants, but participants unheard, unseen, unrepresented.

Did no one ask him about working with Manafort and Konstantin Kilimnik?
@patiencebowers8380Ай бұрын
When he talks about working "around the world" that included working along side of Paul Manafort in Ukraine getting Putin's man elected and leaving when the violence started. Next campaign was volunteering to help reletively unknown Bernie and ran a everyone else is "corrupt" and "rigged" campaign just like Manafort did with Trump and they did together in Ukraine.

Biden? The savior of democracy at home and perhaps worldwide, at least until Jan 2024, when the next insurrection happens. That's so huge for me that it masks his historic accomplishments. Infrastructure, college debt forgiveness, handling the Covid pandemic including continuing the relief for US citizens, the first woman vice-president, etc. And Afghanistan? He couldn't make a silk purse out of what Trump left him. Trump dancing with the Taliban and going around the recognized government of Afghanistan left Biden left only two moves 1) withdraw or 2) escalation of the war there.

The lady in the pink is like, " nope I'm confident that Trump nor Republicans will pay a political price because our voters are either not informed or being lied to about Trump commanding as a private citizen and the Republican party listening as to NOT passing a comprehensive immigration bill that was 90+% of what Republicans have ALWAYS wanted. " I believe her. They are that mis and dis informed

Sorry Mike but those that still support Trump have no credibility! Historians have begun to record Trump as the worst thing to have happened to the USA. You like other Republicans will be foot notes as to how Trump devastated and eviscerated the Republican Party.

My congratulations to all the speakers. Each presentation was very clearly explained. Well done. Political polarisation is good in the sense that it encourages democracy for as long as both parties do not go to extremes. But, there is nothing better than a positive discussion.

Yes and he's not addressing how things got where they are, why democracy with a deregulated campaign financing in a oligarch run corpratocracy isn't working... Incentives for corporations to expose the real policy causes of rotting within the system usually do not come from CEOs, pushing their bottom line means keeping the rott going regardless its unsustainable. Any politician that doesn't understand laws and policies, corroding the entire nation, and instead piggy back off of the crumbling poisoned wells with shiny new ideas only... is pushing a product not a complete solution. HEY WHERE ARE YOUR START UPS 👏🤲😄 WHAT CAN I DO TO HELP. ECONOMY ECONOMY ECONOMY.. wake the country up mainstream a solution. .... product priduct. Legit Yang would never have GOTTEN and infrastructure or chips bill passed.

It's so sad that most people can't see the perfect (rare) candidate (genuine and brilliant) and rather allow the media to tell them who to vote for, or they feel the need to vote for a "charismatic" (typical phony conman, or corporate hack) candidate who only tells them what they want to hear. Do Americans suck at judging character, or what? The future is changing extremely fast and Yang was the only candidate who understood the serious problems coming down the pike. Americans used to see the value in highly intelligent and genuine introverts (Lincoln, JFK, MLK Jr...). All of which were the same rare personality type as Yang.

There is not much nationalism populism in China, trust me. If there is, the world can not take it. The Chinese government deliberately suppress excessive nationalism, they just told everybody to "roll up their sleeve and work harder - President Xi". The evidence is a few years ago, the government closed a famous right wing BBS, called TieXue. It is deemed as "excessive" given this situation. If there is multi-party voting system in China just like the one in US, we are already at nuclear war now. The so called "dictatorship" in China is indeed a blessing for the world.

media propaganda created the divison sometimes it was straight up lying, like Fox News does, sometimes it was leaving parts of the story out like MSNBC does.... If people arent gonna be smart enough to see thru the bullshit, then we cant let them vote. Simple as that. I propose a basic 5 to 10 question quiz before youre allowed to vote. Simple questions that both sides can agree on. Ya gotta know basic facts or you are worthless as a voter.

I love when liberals bring up the faireness doctrine to try to pin todays tottaly corrpt media via out of controll intelligence state on reagan when it was bush and obama that were the biggest advocates and expanders of the survailence state. As if having the government be the arbitor in what is fair and what is not fair on TV is somehow not just another censorship tool used by the government to shut down or discredit disfavored speech. its the most absurd thing in the world, no one can agreee on what is fair. people think accidently callign someone a she a he is hate speech.
