I think a lot of adults (millennials specifically) are at a point in life where they realize work isn’t your LIFE and it should NEVER be! We want to experience so much more in life like traveling and having time for our loved ones while still being able to get paid what we deserve to get paid! I’m in the same boat right now where I don’t really have any idea what I wanna do and I actually applied to a dental assistant position today and I look up dental assistant on YT and I see your video (I’ve seen your other videos previously about D.A. and the position interested me) I definitely feel for you. I know everything will work out for all of us, we just gotta stay strong and keep going. You got this ❤

Thank you so much love this truly means a lot I’m glad you understand where I’m coming from it’s hard for us to have to go through this when we know we deserve better in life and want time to ourselves to love n live life freely and spend it with our loved ones ❤️❤️

@@patienceparadise839is it the office atmosphere? Do you like the people you work with? That is a major part of it that can really make or break the way you feel about working.

@@rachelwelch1 sorry for late reply but I feel it can be the atmosphere because if you like the environment and the people it makes things a lot more enjoyable. But once you’ve been doing something for along time it’s hard to keep finding joy in it

As someone who's been a dental assistant for over 5 years I totally relate to your frustrations of working daily. The dental field is extremely hard mentally. Although it may not be physically taxing as other jobs, it is one of the most taxing mentally. Having to work with patients is a great satisfaction but also very strenuous sometimes. Having to be mentally strong during long tough days, while doing procedures that never go the way you expect them too, because anyone that works in the dental field knows that it is very spontaneous and cases never go the way you want them to. I sympathize with you a lot because I am a father of two kids and working long hours away from them is tough, especially when you're working long hours thinking about the time you're missing with them. I hate deterring people away from the dental field but I am very honest with them. If it is not something you truly love and are not passionate for then I would choose a different path. As I start dental school soon I try to prepare myself mentally because I know thats even more time away from my kids I will have to face. I wish you the best and just know that you are not alone in this tough journey. I pray you charge and rest during your off days (which is impossible as a parent lol) and able to get through this tough time. Im here for you! You got this!

Girl I had to pause the video and type. I was about to start crying with you sis! I’ve literally been feeling the same exact way! A different career… but the exact same emotions and everything but I just try to stay in prayer. It’s not easy especially with a child. I’ll be keeping you in prayer too and everyone else that maybe struggling of some sort.

THIS! The pay for hygienist is so worth it! Dental assistants get paid the same as a target worker and that’s not right. Even with a great doctor and staff it’s a tough job.

I just want to say that you're very strong and smart for what you're going through. My wife is a scorpio as well so I know 😅. Im 33 yrs old, i got my GED last yr and started college the beginning of this yr. Yea I know im old 😂. I wanted to go through the hygiene program but my advisor were trying to push me to do the assistant program first so that it would increase my chances of getting into hygiene. I know that its a female dominant field but I wanted know if you've ever worked with a male dental assistant and are they treated any differently?

Thank you so much I definitely appreciate it, and no it’s never to late to start something. Congratulations and good luck on your journey. YES! I see males all the time in the field I’m working with a male now and there are 4 more in our company if anything they like y’all more lol it’s something about males working with males they understand each other easier

It’s such a hard spot to be stuck in and you feel like your trying new things but nothing suits you. Best thing to do is pray and ask for guidance on to the right path to your life’s purpose. I find as I pray things get a little easier everyday and I’m not so closed off. That way I can be open to receive God’s blessing in divine timing. I believe everything happens for a reason sometimes we have to go through a stuck stage but it will get better love.
