9:25 I admit i seen the last episode first, but to be honest with you, them WW2 tanks weren’t cast too clean anyway, there simply wasn’t time.. functional only.. actually no two WW2 tanks were identical, there was flaws everywhere on the “finish” because who actually cared? It was needed immediately at the front lines..

How much would you pay to have a go with one of these in a real paintball tournament with the other team getting a tank as well? $500 do i hear $600, $1000? I would pay $1000 tomorrow for a game where only a tank can kill another tank.. I actually think it would be sooo realistic that the military from around the world should be investing in these as training vehicles, not only to simulate different tank formations and tactics, but also how the foot soldier can use the tank as short term cover for handguns but also to simulate in real world how to move troops and heavy equipment long distances ect ect..

Would have loved to see the core made the same as old traditional, such as... wolsely? Thornycroft? I forget... Just copper/brass tube, ends driven over hexagonal mandrel and soldered together. Easy to make and repair, work fairly well in my experience... Commercial core looks a bit out of place imho...

Be Careful Just Putting Water In An Engine...what if "someone" would roll the car outside in the cold? (only thinking about the "space they needed" "for a quick or over night project" when the temp wz only "0") over the past 70 years i've seen a number of collector car engine ruined "over just needed space for a quick project" love your video content...have watched every minute of every vid...always "like" been sub'd since the beginning. occasionally comment. very best to you and yours, walt+mrs.

As for the running on after key off just bring the idle speed down a bit, cylinder temps will come down and there'll be no hot spots to ignite fuel.

Reff. 10:47 ...and, I am NOT passing judgement...BUT, when that solder joint on THE FUEL SYSTEM fails... as a formerly certified ASE mechanic, and a truck driver aware of on the road failures and repair of such....THERE IS NO WAY I am gonna consider getting near that with a torch.... P.S. reff 17:43...running after turning off is described as RUN ON... is a simple deal of final carberator adjustment...get the blades as closed as you can...and the needle screws as deep and balanced as you can. IDLING as slow as oil pressure allows...once done, adjust to desired/spec Idle...if it still happens, look into higher octane fuel.

My God dude, your skills reducing the radiator size is insane in the best way possible

First time I've seen your channel, way cool brother. I believe the term you were looking for is dieseling. Old heads use that term when their older carbed cars would over heat and wouldn't shut down. The fix would be to starve the engine of air. I've had to do it once before to save a dieseling gasoline engine before at a used car dealership, the detailer was very happy lol

Those radiator struts are most elegant. One small concern is the mixture of metals in the cooling system. Is there a risk of electrolytic corrosion?

I'm betting that when you get your Speedster out to Cali - that a certain "Car Guy" with an impressive collection might want to see it.... He might even trade rides with the "Blastolene Special" or something else..... Or put you on HIS show..... 🤣 Can't wait for more.

Why not go with original parts…?…😮

The dieseling issue is because of the high idle. Turn it down a bit and the dieseling should go away. You'll find its probably that simple.

The only thing I would have done different with the fuel system, is running hard line through the frame rail instead of rubber hose. The hose lasts 2 to 5 years with gasoline, and a leak inside the frame rail would be a problem. I tend to think NHRA legal, which is no more than 12" of rubber hose in the entire system, I like to limit braided hose too, only using it where the engine flexes. When I get good carbs for my blown car it will get a better fuel system from the firewall to the carbs.. Something tells me California is not going to like you driving a car you scratch built. Michigan is considerably more friendly to such endeavors, when you get to that point.

I would suggest the very high idle and maybe ignition timing being too far advanced as the first two things you should check to rectify the running on issue.
