Now I know where the idea for the Dark Shadows theme song came from.

Looks like a Canadian copy with the flat black label some were flat blue. I used to have 2 ten inch RCA copies of Slim Whitman, one blue and one black both Canadian

prob a novachord
@mikechampagne-manresagroup9288Ай бұрын
Almost certainly a Hammond Novachord answering the guitar's "call" and accompanying the piano from approximately 1:56 - 2:18. Lovely!!

Amazing that this style of Guitar playing was being done in the early Fifties before Santo & Johnny and Los Indio Tabajaras. Truly Timeless!

In my experience anytime something blows up it’s been happening for a VERY long time below the surface and the people catching notoriety are a few generations of influence deep. Granted maybe not always but it is often the case.

What is the second arm on the turntable?
@thegregolarecordsclub6564Ай бұрын
Since this is a record changer, that arm is to stabilize a stack of records until each one is dropped, one at a time. If you don't know much about changers, I'd recommend looking into them! They're lots of fun!

@@thelindyhopfox I can see where you got that from! As for the group itself, I really know nothing about it other than Maury Kaye was Canadian. He has his own Wikipedia article but I don’t believe his records were mentioned on there. This is INCREDIBLY obscure.
