Can a truck with a front receiver hitch be towed using the receiver and 2 inch tubing with a trailer hitch that will fit a 2 inch ball that is mounted on the rear of another vehicle?

I have a 2005 ram 3500 quad cab srw 2whd that i bought new ( after a bd diesel tow tranny updgrade). 300k and runs as new. I recently added a adventurer 10 foot camper and have made a frame of pressure treated 2x 8 on flat on 16 inch or so centers with a pressure treated plywood cap 3/4 inch and then screwed a rubber mat to the plywood so the camper rides on the rubber mat. It just gets the camper high enough to clear the quad cab easy 2inch?. I got a rhino spray in liner as i took delivery 19 years ago... I like your idea of the blocks left and right and plan to add these next time i remove the camper... great idea to center it automatically... I have added 4whd type new rear spring set and new front springs plus 1-1/2 inch height to offset the old suspension w a new anti sway bar ... very happy with the result.

So does Kingstar provide the flatbed, or do you have to already have one installed prior to pickup of the camper? Great looking rig. Lots of thoughtful engineering has gone into this. Very "custom" as opposed to mass-produced.

We bought a new cirrus 620: We got it broken: leaking water pipes, the solar panel didn't work and had to be replaced, the bed lamps went into a short, and the awning didn't come out. We are very disappointment. May give it back

Yes to clear the new 2010 F150 taller side rails. Mine were much simpler but have worked fine for about 13 years. Now I'm getting a 2024 F250 with a higher cab that may require a base redo.

Just stumbled upon this video. I have barely ran my pump, maybe 3 hours total. It's newly installed. The relay failed on me right before a trip. I have an accumulator installed to help with the pressure. This video saved me!

I was reminded that NASA spent millions to develop a pen that would write in zero gravity while the Soviets just used a pencil. So... ...I use an insulated bag to bring my ice cream home, in 100 degree heat, *_on my bicycle in a pannier bag,_* and in a 30 minute ride on a bike I still get home and frost is still thick on the ice cream. $10 bag, cold ice cream. $500 hi-tech cooler... not happening today. Maybe if a need develops...
@lynnemarie7885Ай бұрын
I live in country without ice available (in Europe, not commonly able to buy) so Camping / Vanlife with a cooler needing ice is out of the question. I still cant really figure out if the Oyster is a real alternative to compressor or Thermo electric coolers as a simple van life option not needing electricity. For me it would be worth it, if I could buy some refrigerated items throw in some frozen peas and know that my stuff could stay „reasonably“ cool for 4 days (even after having to open it every day a couple of times) That would justify the price for me. Otherwise, without being able to freeze the packs, it‘s not really helpful and 500 bucks too much for a slightly better, albeit gorgeous, cooler.

I'm new to solar & power stations, planning to buy the B4000 to use as my primary energy source for my tiny home which has 1640W solar panels but noticed the B4000 max solar input is 600W. I know I need a charge controller but getting confused on which to buy and what to do with it, does anyone have any ideas?
@GymWithRayАй бұрын
Also not sure if its internal mppt charge controller is sufficient in handling 1640W solar panels

I've always wondered why companies didn't make vacuum insulated coolers. Very cool! Not for me since I'd rather have a cooler designed with ice in mind. This would be awesome for groceries though.
@ek8652Ай бұрын
The biggest threat to this coolers performance is dents. Dents can cause it to loose vacuum therefore you end up with zero insulation abilities

I want to see a DC output that you could use to run an entire van build off of.
@StonybootАй бұрын
Me too. But the internal voltage is somewhere around 48v. So you would need a stepdown converter to connect to an RV system. You can do that with a plugin converter. Granted, you still have losses in the inverter.
@StonybootАй бұрын
@this-is-slammin-549 not really. They don’t run at the same voltage as an RV, so they need to use step down converters. To add that feature with sufficient amperage to replace an RV battery, would require a fairly large chunk of extra electronics. So I think they skip it due to lack of demand. But, you can easily build something similar using a plug in charger and small lithium battery in the RV.
