Europe probably shouldn't be viewed as a whole. There are many different countries and cultures. We speak different languages and we hate each other.

The Europeans are so obsessed with remaining separate states with their own detrimental taxes and policies that they are willing to die with them. If nothing changes the Eurozone will collapse and Germany or France will pretty much dominate all of Europe once more. At least in a federal system all the smaller states would remain relevant vs client states.

Economies run on human desire. Just like a scale measures weight, money measures desire. Bureaucrats crafting complex and clunky top down regulations creates only a desire in the hearts of humans to hold their money tight and risk nothing. This report is just more socialism; nothing new to see here.

BRICS had never intended to replace the dollar. The West thinks that's what they want to do. Sure Russia says it acts to replace it, but the other countries rant just want to trade more with each o they with out US inteference. The West, especially the US have a very paranoid view of the world. Most countries just want to prosper, but the US can view that as a threat if they aren't involved.

Poland has nothing to offer. There's a reason why millions of them are in the UK. Poland is much too small to compete with Britain and will never have a financial centre like London. Besides, Germany overshadows Poland in everyway in that part of Europe

you have to take your data from “ official” data. “ industrial powerhouse” ha ha ha 😂 country with very little of own industry. And what the Poland did? open your eyes! 1. not a lot of engineers and doctors from south 2. no social for decades 3. Robbed the west, yes you heard me right. Millions of Poles went abroad and send most of money home, building houses, setting companies using those money 2 milions of Poles sending each 10.000 euro per year for 10 years it is 200 bilions euro, is more than Polands yearly budget😅

"Reliable Gov." I am so glad our political show of POPiS goin for second decade seemed so capable, but please... I mean, we could be worse in many ways, we build something here, but its a fact our political class is underwhelming to say the least; that sentiment while was always there got very high last years. Society is building up for some serious political shifts, thats my take from living here and keeping up. Companys that succeed are more like "instead of" than "thanks" to our goverment. POPiS had some sense to try not to brake economy while they are fighting, but they devastated polish justice system and constitutional proceedings. A number of institutions went under the bus during political struggle of two dominating parties going about 20 years, each year more brutal and polarizing. Unadeqacy of mishap constitution is clear (president-vs-prime-minister problem, weak institutionas that were undermined in numerous ways, add nepotism and 'chieftanship' of political parties - its way more oligarchic today than 20 yrs ago), there is a need to reform polish republic and it may be that in a year or two you will have a material for a video about that. Just heads up.

I appreciate the interest and the idea of making a film about Poland, but I would recommend a more thorough exploration of the subject. Unfortunately, the film does not reflect the key factors behind Poland's economic changes. For example, it overlooks issues such as massive migration, over 25% unemployment long after the fall of communism, and the collapse of many Polish companies due to privatization-essentially the sell-off of entire industries, including shipyards. I do like the comment that we are the least sick patient in the hospital, but we are all terminally ill if we don't stop the virus waiting around the corner. But once again, I appreciate your interest and encourage you to conduct further research and create a follow-up video.

And how is the unemployment after communism related to the economic growth?
@serconan88
@serconan88 2 күн бұрын
Such massive unemployment and mass migration had a significant impact on economic growth, both in the short term and the long term. Many changes in Poland were a result of pushing people to their limits-there wasn’t a single family without someone leaving the country to work abroad. During this time, politicians sold out the country from within to foreign capital, leading many branches of the economy to collapse. It is very important for people to live better in their daily lives, but on a national scale, it is even more crucial that they earn decent wages and that the money from their labor and produced goods stays in the country, rather than flowing abroad. Poles have woken up to this reality, and as they’ve come to understand it, the trend is slowly reversing, showing that not everything from abroad is better than what we have here. Currently, many Poles who emigrated between 2000 and 2010 are returning to the country, opening small and medium-sized businesses, and the country has started to move forward again. This progress is in no small part due to the previous government-a political party that was patriotic and ambitious, ready for significant economic and infrastructural investments that attracted many investors. Unfortunately, this party, called Law and Justice (Prawo i Sprawiedliwość), was defeated by the European establishment, mainly German, which opposed it. Over the past eight years, people came to believe the mass media and attacks from the European Union. Please now observe the situation in Poland and these so-called investments because the film, while very good, is now outdated. To provide specifics and avoid being vague: for example, the major investment by Intel in Poland was stopped by the government installed by the German establishment. Similarly, the massive investment in the Central Airport Hub (Centralny Port Komunikacyjny), which would have been a competitor to Germany in air import and export to Europe, was also halted, along with many other projects. Yes, we are developing, that’s true, but we will only develop as much as foreign capital allows us to because, once again, the government in power does not fully have Poland in its heart. We can agree that capital matters, is internationalized, and so on, but in the times we live in, we cannot allow critical sectors of the economy, essential for the state’s security, to be sold into foreign hands. While the numbers and charts may show that we are strong, a fragile and weak state will not survive a real crisis. @@LMB222

Foreigners know about Balcerowicz because he was pumped by Western media and academia but the real reformer was a private entrepreneur and a minister Wilczek who in December 1988 introduce Hong Kong-style capitalism, the most free market legislation on European continent. Communists just tried to do whatever it takes to avoid being held responsible for their crimes and mismanagement.
