This is what you get when the leadership of mainstream parties ignore issues that increasingly frustrate voters. If they had taken anti immigration sentiment seriously, voters would not have had to turn to AfD to demonstrate their anger. As AfD continues to grow, they will either be forced to adopt more serious policies to succeed, or their failure will provide an opportunity for another party to adopt the popular policies of their party. If neither happen, it will lead to protests and potential violence as the people become increasingly convinced that their demands will not be addressed through the democratic process and that will be bad for everybody.

As a German, I need to clarify a few things here: The AfD is definitely not in favor of a higher minimum wage! The party has consistently voted against it in all decisions. This is something the political left constantly criticizes, as they argue it’s a betrayal of the AfD’s own voter base. Are expenses for migrants not a problem? Currently, almost 50% of those receiving "Bürgergeld" (unemployment benefits) are migrants. In 2023, spending on asylum and migration was approximately 50 billion euros! Whether the AfD will become a more economically liberal party remains to be seen. However, Germany's largest AfD-supporting KZbin channel @AktienMitKopf with over 570,000 subscribers, is strongly libertarian. If the AfD were to reject pro-market policies, it would lose a huge part of its support base.

People do not know that a 3 mw turbine will have to use around 1000 tons of concrete, which is used to fill a 30m by 30m and 6m deep excavated hole in the ground with steel. The number of birds killed by bird strikes in the US is estimated to be up to 1.2 million, and in the UK, it's up to 100,000. The reality is that wind energy is intermittent, insecure and has landscape and environmental impacts whereas a coal fired power station can be used twice as long and the effect is localised. Kudos for this approach.. there is a time you attacked China and Russia forever that I gave up following your show. I had tu un subscription until when a litany of improper finding end. Following you on matters that don't interest your consumers is like waiting for a train to pass by. M you wait and wait and wait when whatever that is on the train don't benefit you in any way. O rather wait and wait as a meal is getting prepared but not spend too much time consuming information that I am not interested in the matter... I don't say don't present such matters but do it in small doses. Some people consumer materials on KZbin while driving or at break at work. Coming back to shows that go on and on would be a myths... doesn't happen. Sometimes I find a show that is interesting and once I navigate away from it... that becomes the end of it and I am sure this is true to most people.

So, basically, after Trump won the US elections, I, a German emigrant from Russia with a Math PhD, started looking for a job... elsewhere. I am not that much concerned about the economy, I've lived through worse, but, you know, I went away from putin long before it was clear what he is, and now we have his best friends - well, of course, well paid friends - ride the Bundestag. Which basically means that, should russia want to occupy the Baltics - Germany will hardly do anything to prevent it. An will it decide to go further... I've seen this happening in russia, and I am fed up of it. I am not as young to start a new life as I was when I came here in 2008, but heck, young enough to do it for the third... or is it fourth time.

If Russia attacks the Baltic countries not only Germany will respond but the entirety of NATO. That's the reason why Russia so far only attacked countries that are not (yet) a part of NATO.
@LukeVilentАй бұрын
@@cyrusol That's what happens in an ideal world. In reality, Hungary's government officer "unofficially" said recently that should russia attack Hungary, there will be no resistance, cuz they "don't want it like in Ukraine". They also have reiterated on multiple occasions that their commitment to NATO should be considered as facultative. Slovak government plays by Hungary's playbook, and chances are, the list of putin's friends in Europe will increase in the coming years. Most crucially, putin's friends are generally trump's friends, who also openly stated that he's about to reduce US commitment to NATO. Even if they aren't friends with putin, like Meloni, they plant the seeds of what will become the same "facultative" participation by loosening the alliances. In ideal world, the Budapest memorandum should have guaranteed, that the annexions of 2014 never happen. In the reality of the Realpolitik, all such papers appear to be inferior quality toilet paper.

"many studies show that raising the minimum wage removes jobs" Eh, source? edit: According to the noble price of 2021, the amount of jobs does not decrease as you increase minimum wages, so, like, I actually want a source.

@Ivarius321 well Milton Fridman won the real Nobel prize for economics and he demonstrated its the case. Think of ypu instead of job speaker a small business bakery,contractor really anything if "the Holly government" fix the prize you have to hire with you can not outsource a simple low skill job like baker helper or invite youth to small construction site jobs. Let's say you have to pay somone X amount never mind if he is high or low skill you really think that ever under any reality can make economy better? Can you tell me about that sector of jobs that will benefit? You can't not even in an imaginary world. I know it's hard to think as business owner cuz you obviously not you are employed and plan to be employed for the rest of your career. But regular people with economic and business mindset know what I say it's true it's super basic.

I agree spending does need to be cut, but you never cover how reducing taxes very often results in increased tax revenue due to the resulting economic growth. And for those confused on how this works let’s say taxes are 40% and taxable income is $10. That means your tax revenue is $4. Now let’s say you reduce taxes to 30% and that allows the business to reinvest that money and double in size. So then 30% of $20 means your tax revenue is $6 or $2 more than when you were taxing 10% higher. For a real world example look at the US tax cuts under Trump which resulted in greater tax revenue.

Is there any evidence that raising the minimum wage causes job losses as is claimed here? In the UK the same was said before we introduced the minimum wage and yet we have a labour shortage? It has certainly led to an increase in pay for the poorest people.
