Great job just had 1 question did you forget or was it intentional the jaws you made at the end there is another set of stepped jaws that run vertically.

So your missing pipe grips and the two that you installed on the bottom actually go vertically right above them, and longer grips go where those two are now.

I have this exact vice. An old friend gave it to me. Used to be in his shop a long time ago. It's in good shape. I just cleaned it up a little and put it to work.

I just gravity feed my tires with the same adapter for SLIME, cost about $15 from TCS , I used a hose and funnel. Slime does also sell a pump etc for this job as well. However now that I saw you use the submersible pump, I have the same pump. That will be how I fill the next tire and I’ll see how the job goes. It looks a lot faster. Great video.

Thanks for the video, 5 years later :) I was given one of these which was broken in some way.. your video quickly showed me I'm missing those two bolts on the back side that hold it together...looks like their m6x50mm from experimenting with what I got lying around..I'll hit HD tomorrow for some new ones.

I do wish they had engineered the lower arms to be outboard of the frame on a pin like the Kubota. Sliding that shaft left and right to try and get them indexed is a pain. Especially when everything is covered in dirt.

Why can't you leave the spring shaft in old location? Add a few more rotations is all you would need

Well done on the video. For a extra layer of safety when using a strap to get unstuck I would not use a strap with hooks and have something like a old heavy carpet to lay on top of the strap in case it breaks just suck up the energy to keep it from coming back at you at Mach Five speeds. I have seen a strap with a hook blow through a rear hatch and seat back like it was nothing.

I know I'm a little late getting into the game so to speak, (it's been 5 years since you made this), but just from what I saw your pipe jaws don't look right, the jaws don't go beyond the vice body so when clamping a pipe the flat of the vice would contact the pipe not the jaws. Just wondering. Will have to unbox the one I just got to see how it's pipe jaws work.

Spent all day trying to figure out why my engine fuse kept blowing. Got it fired with a paper clip and then yanked it out. I gave up! Loaded it on the trailer to go to the shop. Then I saw your post. The previous owner disconnected the seat sensor, but the wires were sit pinched and grounding out. Huge shout out!!!! Saved me a trip to the shop!!!!

Looks like this was made 4 years ago... well it got me out of what seemed like a serious jam tonight. I knew my tractor had an arm to claw it's way up the muddy hill (backhoe) but I had to see it done to realize I didn't need to go buy a winch. Lots of other great tips for me getting stuck in the future. Thanks!

I found the exact same vise, in much worse condition. I want to restore it, but the back plate with the nut and split pin is broken. I need a close up of the back plate to see what needs to be done. Also, does it need a special nut at the back? Must the vise turn, if so, why? Thank you.

I really recommend a tube inside your tires. That way it's not bare against the rim,won't leak out the bead,you'll never have to worry about the bead popping off and losing every bit of your liquid. And with a tube you can fill it first and then air up the tire

Yup, same as normal, just make sure the stem is at the top when filling, and you dont overfill with liquid

Great video. Going to do mine in the very near future as I have my 50 hour maintenance coming up in 1 more hour. Did you do your front tires too? Also how far did you fill them with liquid? Looked like about 75%, is that correct?
@LazyBrookFarm
@LazyBrookFarm 2 жыл бұрын
I did fill my fronts! They recommend not to fill them, as it can cause more wear on the axle. But i like to live dangerously! It was about 75-80% you do need a bit of air as liquids dont like to compress, the tire would take more abuse with every bump

This is a good video. You did a good job at making it short and to the point, as well as very easy. And, honestly, if a person doesn't have a welder, just get on craigslist and tell someone if they bring a welder out, you'll pay them 75 bucks to do all the welds. Won't take someone who's a good welder more than 15 minutes, probably.

Great video, Straight to the point and informative. So tired of slipping with my loader and don't want to spend the price for rim guard filling. I'm actually doing this same thing soon. I have two 55 gallon drums of rv antifreeze ready. Should give me almost 900 lbs of weight for both tires on my JD.

Am I seeing this right? Is the backhoe mounted directly to the frame on the three point hitch? I might be missing it but I don’t see it mounted on a subframe.

This tractor has special plates that bolt vertically on the sides of the transmission. Its part of the kit, when you get the backhoe. Most dealers install them for with the backhoe
