Garage door is too small!!

I solve a big problem I have had with this garage door being too small. I had had problem getting my tractor in with the ROPS up, and getting some larger trucks into the garage.

I feel you pain with the wood rot. I we built our house out of insulated concrete forms, roofed and sided it with steel panels just like yours, and the only wood on the exterior is 6 pieces of 1x4 pine that I had to use to trim the doors. Well if I haven't had to caulk, prime and paint those stupid 6 boards 3 times now in 7 years! Low maintenance is the way to go. Good video. Looking forward to number 2. R.J.

i have fallen in love with PCV for trim, never rots, and looks decent painted! i started using it on the last house, and plan to replace any trim with that once the old stuff rots. the guy who built the garage only did about 1 inch of overhang, so i bet all of my king studs are rotted :(

First of all I like to thank you for your reply and apoligize for any inconveniences,. I have a job like this that I have to do when the weather get better in a month or so, About the Header framing I could handle that situation, but I was wondering what would your subjection be for my situation, Please let me explain. This a job that I'm doing is for a brother at church and his budget is limited, right now he has a 8' tall 9' wide door (single Door) and what really concerns me if the door situation, I will need another section of the door that is going to be about 2 1/2' taller than the originals sections, and at the same time I would have to push back the Garage Door Opener to compensate for that section... I kinda did a research and fund that they make a Extension Kit for the garage opener but I'm stuck on the Door section... Just wanted to get your point of view and maybe I could implement them with my point of view. Thank you so much and have a great day.

I am sorry for the delay, i am a little unsure on what you are asking, and i really want to help. I had a hard time finding door sections to make mine taller. My door had been discontinued.try a few of your local suppliers, they order replacement sections for damaged doors all the time. Since i couldnt find a section for my door, i bought a used door and replaced one of my other doors. Then used the leftover parts to make my center door taller.
