You know why they are cheap? Because they are cheap. Poor quality, bad components. Here is my experience with my Breezer Radar: - After a few 100 km scratches and ditches on the coating - After ~3000 km the bottom bracket was worn out, replaced by a Shimano bb - Noticed the color of the bike changed, looks like the coating is not UV stable - After ~6000 km the steering head bearing was worn out, replaced by a FSA bearing - After ~9000 km the hub of the back wheel was worn out, no replacement parts available, so instead of a new hub I decided to give the bike away and get a new one with better components. Sad enough that for this amount of money the quality is so poor.

Great video. About hammock. Your trees were to far apart and your straps were at to shallow angle. Ideal distance is about 5m or so and 30 degree angle on a straps. Dont tie to too tall trees or you will feel it if a strong wind comes. Greetings from Slovenia.

Really enjoyed your video which captured a lot of experience authentically. NZ is going to be “a lot of up and down climbing” ha-ha. You’d really enjoy the South Island loop but give it 2 months and you’ll probably survive as there are no bears, snakes, poisonous spiders, crocodiles and not too many Australian’s.

The most important relationship a person can ever have, is between yourself and God. When you need a moral compass or direction in life, let it be His word that guides you. It's more important than how much money you have, what job you do, what city you live in, or who you're married to. It determines where you'll spend eternity. Mark 8:36-37, 36 For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? 37 Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? The words of Jesus can ease your burdens.

Thank you for making this video. I broke up with my partner of ten years just under 2 years ago now. I consciously made a choice to spend time with myself in order to process the emotions of the break up, and rediscover my sense of self outside of that relationship. the last 6 months have been tough though, and I feel that solitude is turning into loneliness. I do feel a sense of isolation, and the negative feelings that are associated with that. A few months ago I bought a bike with the plan to go bikepacking. I didn't really know why, but after watching this video it dawned on me that my pursuit of adventure, not only in my recent bikepacking interest, but also throughout my life where I have seeked solo adventure is a way of turning the feelings of loneliness into positive feelings of solitude. Your coin analogy is spot on though, I feel the coin flips between loneliness and soiitude, and we have to remind ourselves to flip it when we feel lonely.

You can be in relationship, not an exclusive relationship. I believe it is important to have balance in our lives. Many things are important. Our lives are made up of multiple aspects. Being happy is not just about doing one thing or another. Nothing should be neglected. Personally, I've spent too much time alone, and it hasn't always been productive. My thoughts became intrusive, and I started to sink into a dark place. It's important for me to cultivate meaningful relationships with people, as well as to engage in more intense social experiences from time to time. These interactions also bring me a lot-new perspectives, an open mind, and stimulation. They contribute to my growth. Our lives should not be superficial. This has also sparked my interest in adventure.

Hey Codey, enjoyed this video mate and can add a couple of life experiences that you're yet to realise at the age of 26. You mentioned that we are born alone, I kind of disagree to a point, unless your natural birth parents are dysfunctional, I had a marvellous coming into the world with great Parents that did everything for me, the typical linear family unit with a Younger Sister, Mum and Dad made sure we had nice Xmases and Nice holidays, just typical middle class Australian lifestyles back in the 60's and 70's and you missed out on those times where being a part of the old world of pre-war generations, but going through schools in the early 2000's it's a different world than just 30 plus years prior which was a much simpler world. You can choose to die alone or maybe that choice is made for you depending on the people, friends, relatives and family that are around you. In your short time on Earth, you've had a lot more life experiences of freedom than I had at that point of being 26 years of age as I wasn't exposed to the things you were at that point, no internet to watch KZbin videos and getting ideas. I was already married by 1995 upon having found my partner in 1990, it was a tremendous growth period for me, a whole new experience as she was Japanese and still my wife today, unfortunately no children and it's possible that I will leave this life and Earth alone. You stressed upon finding love and a partner, I think there's still an abundance of time for that Codey, Men don't truly know what they want at your age hence the reason your searching for answers now, never, ever compromise on a partner and that is one thing I didn't understand, as much as I love my wife, in many ways we are total opposites, yet it worked for us, we will celebrate our 30th Anniversary in October....but we had times we could have easily drifted away from each other and go our separate ways. I have found though, as a Man matures and goes through his life, most are ready to settle down sometime after 30 years old, still young enough to see their kids grow and flourish into the people you've helped shape them to be, I still believe Children will be the types of people that they are if they are shaped with the positive and respectful way of thinking yet proper disciplines of morals, but that's just me still being shaped between newer and much older cultural generations. But as your kids if any grow up to be adults and form their own relationships and families, your life has been extended and you should never leave this world being alone. The importance of this is when one reaches old age and his body and mind will not operate as it did half a lifetime ago, that is when you'll find yourself with little to no support or being outright lonely. It's the scourge of many elderly people when their spouses have died, and their friends have died as well and nothing to look forward to anymore. Very sad and I feel I could end up like this. I'll finish up by saying, yes I've had regrets looking back on it, i've always strived to get into a relationship, to experience that beyond all else because my parents we a strong Couple, I just wished that I did some of the stuff like you in my 20's when i was at my strongest, travel around, have my eyes opened up for me and to become more self reliant, so keep doing what you do best Codey, go and do more travel, have more experiences as these experiences will never be forgotten and will help you with your possible young family in the future to help shape a new generation, don't be in too much of a hurry to settle down like I was, go out and live your best life first. Sorry for the long passage, but I hope my insights will help you consider somethings into your future.

Hey David appreciate this passage mate! It’s always so nice to get a comment from you mate! I really value your perspective. It’s fascinating even reflecting on my growth since I actually made this video which must have been over 12 months ago or more. (Have re-packaged it from my old channel) 27 now and my perspective has since shifted even further on some of the points I reflected on here in this film. And that goes for starting and leaving this earth alone. It’s a beautiful journey this life. The ultimate of all adventures. I feel a much deeper oneness then I never have before and would argue with what I said there also and align more with what you’re saying. Grateful for you mate… will be reflecting further on what you have written here. Your words mean a lot 🙏

Really appreciate this, thank you! It can be a mind-numbing process. See how you go. Stepping back can sometimes be as productive as pushing through. I have been unwell these last few days and I see it as my body's way of telling me to slow down. As I have been working hard to try and make this KZbin channel a success. But since I have had time to step away and do nothing, clarity has stepped in. Love this channel, just wish there were more regular videos. This one is superb by the way! 👍 Im a man from the UK living and travelling in Thailand and Vietnam, 46 years old, never had a long term serious relationship by choice, just never been interested in marriage or kids but the one thing i love more than anything, is being alone somewhere quiet, away from people and constant noise, and on my mountain bike just gliding along without a care in the world. 🥳 It can be difficult biking in SE Asia cause of the heat, humidity and crazy traffic but when i get away into nature or along the coast, its just a whole new feeling of happiness and joy, that cant be beat. 🥰

I'm an only child now 61 years of age..at times growing up I had a lot of people around me. Father was a jazz muso so I was always at jams and parties as a kid. Grew up and was in many many bands..also over my life had many partners. Now at my age I'm just so glad it's quite and I don't seek any new partnership s and don't really have a large friend base anymore as many died or moved on. After my mother died and after covid a lot has changed my way of thinking and I don't miss being with people.. only worry is keeping my health and what happens when I'm to old to look after myself. Being along doesn't mean being lovely.

I think I'll end the year having ridden around 5k miles on the bike. Loving riding my surly around the eastern US and camping in this beautiful country.
