I don't own a shop, but I do my own maintenance. I use OEM depending on the job. There are some parts you can get from Rock Auto or Ebay that will do the job as well as OEM. Some aftermarket parts will not work. If I owned a shop, I would base the purchase of the part on the job being done. The customer would have to understand that I do not warranty parts the customer brings unless it's a proven OEM or dealer part.

Hi Deo, please send me links to buy both fused jumper wires and the device you use to start engines when you are working alone. I have searched online at both eBay and Amazon but no luck, perhaps because I live in the UK is the reason for the unavailability of these items. Any assistance would be appreciated bro. Thanks.

@joelawoyomi9102 My Pleasure! The device I use to activate the starter is called U-activate Relay by pass from AESWAVE.COM. I recommend you contact them! you can send them an email, talk to Carlos and Tell him, I sent you, he should be able to ship it to you in the UK, They have jumper wires too

If the customer brings you the parts, charge them 10% of the cost you would have charged for the same parts and - no warranty on labor for customer supplied parts.

Let them bring there own parts charge xtra labour & absolutely no warranty Rock auto sells some oem parts u tell the customer if u bring the wrong part’s you’ll be paying all labour hours & a fee for tying up the lift make yourself clear best of luck with your shop

From what I seen, some of the auto repair youtube channels allow customers to bring parts and charge labour. Only thing they do not offer warranty if problem repeats.

Sometimes the parts the customer bring is not 100% quality and after they will tell you that you don't fix his car correct
