Of things continue politically, we won't be able to afford breakfast... a good thing. But it will affect not only breakfast but many more things in a NEGATIVE way. Looks like we are in for a serious time ahead.

The real answer is the Soleus muscle gets long and weak in runners seated heel raises solved this after 28 years of suffering

Hi Steve I suffered with calf injury for nearly 30 years. Being a late starter 38 yo I eventually ran sub 60 minute 10mile race at 41yo. I then started to suffer repetitive calf. As usual just start coming i to form and bingo it would go again, so at 69yo on the web there it was the soleus gets long and weak in runners. Solution seated heel raises 6x 20 reps maybe a bit of weight on the knees solved the problem. ran well at V70 and V75 any thing from 5miles to 5k and 200 and 100mters vets track competitions you might do a video on the exercise.

Two things- why did it say your Max HR was 111% of your Max HR? It should be 100%. Second , Garmin has removed on the app the option to put in manual numbers. Everything now is % MHR. Not a good choice IMO.

If your going to spend your time walking, make it a brisk walk for an extra calorie burn. And remember... Walking is good Brisk walking is better Brisk walking up inclines (stairs, hills) is best!

First 10 minutes? I'm two weeks in and I'm still gasping after each session. Have to stop at least three times. I'm 32 and I feel like I'm going to have a heart attack.

Walk regularly ... Time doesn't matter... Minimum 40-45 minutes continous... Above that you can do 15 mins small bouts upto 2 hours/day

Best to get off animal foods (meat, cheese, milk, eggs, etc). See video "Cancer doesn't scare me anymore" by Lorraine Day.

You can mitigate steady state by doing pushups or situps before you run.

Thank you! 2 months ago I started walking every day in the early morning, doing 1h - 1h20mins walk, then few minutes of very short nap, then breakfast. Despite feeling great, still wasn't sure if this routine is ok for the health, now your video calmed me down for good.

Does it "talk" to tell you which way to turn etc once you have planned your route (in a similar way to how google maps guides you to turn etc)?

IDK, I always do at least 0,5km walking to start and the run the first 10 minutes in zone 2 at the begining, then continue in z2 most of the time and sometimes do interwals or threshold. I didn't know first mile being hard was a thing.

Thanks for the info., warming up before a run is the best way to address. I jog before a race. Not at my actual pace, but slow to get my muscles warmed up. This really helps. Used to just stretch only then run. I can feel the difference between the two. Once that first mile is done then the runners high kicks in and you can just go.

❤Good video! I use to love to walk. But now when I walk my lower back hurts. I’m so over weight. When I do walk, I walk to the stop sign which is .4 miles. It’s just a 15 min walk there and back. I need more discipline to do that every day!!!
