Never knew Sean was a middle class bloke. So his animosity toward Clarkson was probably rooted in a class divide since Clarkson grew up in a working class home but went to posh schools because of his dad's luck. And where Sean's middle class habits come in is in the unwavering habit of following the rules which is why he dislikes it when Jezza breaks them. That's because Jezza thinks that too many unnecessary rules make things more difficult for the working classes. So Sean is a middle class bloke trying to appear working class through his comedy and getting a blue collar job, whereas Jezza is a working class bloke with the eloquence and charisma of a middle class man. Its a shame really, love em both.

Jo is another unexpected joy that I found by watching "QI". She and Alan are tops, & I loved their sitcom, "Damned", (so realistic/low-key). They'd be perfect together in a comedy/drama theatrical release.Their friendship comes through as genuine, (esp. In "Damned"). I wish that other Yanks would have the good sense to seek out & then SURELY find out that there's much to be appreciated in British humor. I'm in a minority, but gladly so. The majority here are starving for great comedy & they don't even know it. Humor can heal & also can mk U introspective. I truly wish that Jo and Alan did have mass appeal here. They're wonderful together, and also when they're on their own.

Ronnie, the only thing she ever did was an impression of Audrey Hepburn, an impression that was decades out of date in the late 90s early 2000s

I always, even as a young teen in 1994, thought that Nick Handcock always wanted this show to be about him, and only him. Trying to use it as a vehicle for his career. I didn't find him funny just slightly bullying. This was in 1994.... in 2023 almost 30 years later, I haven't changed my mind. Room 101 back then though was great - a time where people felt free to openly express their thoughts without fear of being canceled. The new format was worse (with 3 people) but was probably for viewing figures, with only one guest, if you didn't like the person your just didn't watch. The only people though that I really didn't like as guest were: Jessica Stephenson and that artist who made the unmade bed... Tracey Emin however you spelt it.... terrible.

Whaa, I just started watching Room 101 with Frank Skinner tonight with the Cilla Black episode (featuring her electric dance), and looking for more, I found out there's a Merton version of the show! Chose the one with Gyles. Which by great coincidence turned out to be an episode which shows the same clip! :D Although it might be a thing that they just show every episode. Let's find out.

Just me again, reliving Seans shows. I remember the posh bell ends documentary. It went down well in my house as I remember, seeing as we were in a mining town and these were the enemy. Nothing has changed, these are the guys who run our country.

As an Israeli, I must protest the dates segment. There are many different varieties of dates, which differ greatly in taste, texture, size and colour. From what I can tell, the variety that they are eating here (dark brown, a thick and smooth exterior, probably a watery consistency) is the cheapest kind of date you can find and is usually marketed for use in milkshakes and such like. It really is disgusting to eat on its own. Try a medjoul date (very big and incredibly sweet) or a barhi date (quite small, light yellow-brown, a delicate taste). Also, many dates are tastier when combined with nuts or frozen and consumed straight out of the freezer. Good luck, Britons.
