I used to hate the skins on pudding and custard when i was a kid but my Granddad used to love them.

This format was great...if the guest was interesting. If not, you were stuck and would usually turn over. This is why they changed the format.

But with the latest format, even if you get an interesting guest, their time to speak is cut in 3, so everything feels rushed and surface-level. There seems to be an incessant desire among British TV companies to turn everything into a panel show that it is possible to, and put Josh Widdecombe and Joe Wilkinson on them.

@@brianm2881 I agree - but see their 'logic' Even if someone on it was disliked people stayed and didn't turn over as there were 2 other guests. The format was a contributing factor for the show's demise but I think it was culture.... guests were so scared of the possibility of being cancelled that their personal choices were so bland. I much prefertheold format.... Frank Skinner and Stephen Fry being good episodes.
