I did this intake side overhaul on mine a couple years ago and no joke I think I got a little jolt of PTSD when I saw those two stupid coolant pipes breaking off in the block for you too. Damn, I hated that. Glad you got it all done all right. Nice work and nice car. Keep it going!

I just did my E90 with the M3 control arms. I agree with everything this guy said. Make sure you get an alignment after installation. The cost is about 360 for the parts in 2024 from Fcp or Ecs tuning. In addition, I would buy the control arm installation kit that has all new bolts. Do it once and hope it’s the last time

That is not a good place to put jack stands. That plastic can break and car will fall into the stand.

Anyone else have a problem where the steering wheel feels like it takes more effort to turn? especially at lower speeds like i could steer with one finger before now its way stiffer and takes more effort to turn. My old arms were completely shot though. Would that have been the reason it was easier to turn? Got it aligned and all that and its better but feels weird that id have to try harder to turn the wheel than before

Nice video best i saw,on trailing arm bush i have damage upper trailing arm bush make rear right drop over the wheel lioe something heavy on the right i replace the upper bush but the book says i should take measurements before removing it and mark trailing arm braket before i didnt thats how i find your video on perloading

Thanks for a great video. We've got the old shock off and still have all our fingers after the spring compressor stage, but now can't get the spring compressed enough to get the top end rebuilt. Pretty nerve racking as we have the spring compressors down to their limit. Might have to take it to a local garage and see if they can get it back on!

Great instructions! Especially the for the offset on the RTAB bracket. I would suggest not using impact and instead of a paint marker and a hit with spray paint before removing the RTAB bracket-much easier to realign. Thanks!

Why you using different type strut bearing-strut mount? I did research and you using newer style which was for cars manufactured from 2003-11 and your car which you showed in video using manufacture till 2003-11 strut mount, i heard if you using newer atyle its harder to fit it and it stands higher...

These arms did make a great difference. M3 sway + coilovers and you’ll have much much better steering feel. Easy DIY with basic tools and autozone rentals.

Thanks for a well explained and thorough video, I followed your video to replace mine and it worked a treat Just a heads up though, the reinforcement plate needs to go under the strut tower not on top.
