Thanks for a great video. We've got the old shock off and still have all our fingers after the spring compressor stage, but now can't get the spring compressed enough to get the top end rebuilt. Pretty nerve racking as we have the spring compressors down to their limit. Might have to take it to a local garage and see if they can get it back on!

Nice job. Nice tutorial too. I’m currently doing this job on my 128i and couldn’t compress the springs enough with the spring compressors shown in the video. And they’re also missing the safety pins too, so I was super sketched out using them. Anyways, I ordered a “fork” type spring compressors from Amazon and they should be here tomorrow. Hope they work great. Keep up good work

There's a. Video on KZbin where the guy uses a bench vise to compress the spring and assemble the struts. He takes all of the danger out.

Why you using different type strut bearing-strut mount? I did research and you using newer style which was for cars manufactured from 2003-11 and your car which you showed in video using manufacture till 2003-11 strut mount, i heard if you using newer atyle its harder to fit it and it stands higher...

Whats better Rubber or Plastic Boot covers?
@soufsidemotorsports84183 жыл бұрын
I prefer the rubber boots honestly. They just feel better, but realistically they should both function equally.
