On my table saw, cutting a strip to 5 inches thick and then setting the fence to 2 inches at 45 degrees results in one piece being about a quarter inches longer than the other. Not sure how that worked for you
@BitnerBuiltКүн бұрын
Hi great laker! So I would suggest taking a trusted straight edge from your fence to the edge of the blade teeth, you might be out of alignment. I Use this all the time and with hundreds of thousands of views this video, I would be flooded by comments saying it doesn’t work. (There are superchats saying thank you it works great) My bet is your fence is off. Also ensure the wood stays flat on the saw all the way through, if it rides up the cut will be off.

Doesnt the paint interfere with the glue
@BitnerBuilt6 күн бұрын
Technically, it should, as the paint covers over fibers that the glue adheres to however in practice it doesn’t. I have my enclosed utility trailer painted black with cleats on the wall and in two years of my crews using it every day, no glue failure with my gear bouncing around on it with every little bump (ultimate test honestly). And big win for locking pegs keeping it all on the wall. For people who want a little more piece of mind I would just say tape your wood first where the cleat will be so it isn’t painted over

At the risk of sounding like a hater, I think Ryobi tools are innovative but the longevity is not there. I've had a few over the years and they didn't last half as long as they should have. DeWalt is my brand. From drill bits to circular saws, I've NEVER been disappointed. I especially love my plunge router!

Hey we all have our opinions based on our experiences so it’s cool 👍 the “old ryobi” I thought was garbage, the stuff in the past 4 years (I have 10 tools) have all done well. Meanwhile I’ve had 2 dewalts fail and hell my new Milwaukee m12 Brad just perma jammed after 3 mo and it has to go in for repair. 🤦 where that ryobi is still kicking. @PeterPrestonUK8 күн бұрын
I’ve seen a few people cut the strips the same way, but for the wall pieces I don’t understand why you wouldn’t make all the cuts at 45° from the start. You save half the number of passes, you save changing the saw again, you save all the electricity cost of making the extra cuts, and you save at least one strip worth of ply. I made my first cleats yesterday and it never even occurred to me to cut it at 90° and THEN at 45°. Perhaps if you are right for working space and are working with a full 8x4 sheet then it might just be easier, but then so would making a 45° cut down the middle then working with two smaller pieces. American makers seem to not care about how much material they make - and yet you later also tried to use scraps to make cleats.
@BitnerBuilt8 күн бұрын
When you’re breaking down a sheet, if you just cut a 45° the entire way one after another, a few things are gonna happen. #1 you’re going to have to make a wider cleat in order for there to be enough material that is actually in contact with the wall to be substantial enough. for example, if you’re making the cleats the size that mine are and there’s a 45° cut at both sides. You’re only going to have about 1 inch of material That’s actually touching the wall where the glue is going to be holding it to the wall. That’s not substantial enough so you just made the cleat weaker or the cleat needs to be wider now using more material than if you had used a 90 on the bottom. Number two if you do this, you’re not going to be able to use a locking mechanism like I showed in the video. Because you just have a very thin piece of wood at the bottom of the cleat, it will incur damage pretty easily. #3 if you saw my discription on tortion flex, you just made your cleat unstable if your holder is only on one cleat, the twisting action that gravity is going to make will not have support at the bottom of the cleat making it easy for the cleat to twist itself off the wall over time. It’s now a see saw shape. You can exert forces on to the top or bottom to make it rock, where as with the 90 it’s stable. Think of the holder like a crowbar, with no support on the bottom it’s going to be easy to pry this off. I have never seen anyone make cleats the way you’re describing specifically because of the above, it seems like you’re just trying to save time at the expense of the stability of your cleat.

Great video. I know xtool are innovate company and the machine look nice, I think they will have changes and issues with maintenance. We know very well dtf. 1. I see their machine is closed frame all in front so there is no way to get to printhead or capping station, that makes it a bad design. 2. Even machine do maintenance that will be in lines by circulating the ink but not in the dampers. 3. White ink is the one that separate because precipitation, so their automatic maintenance will need to be very good to eliminate issues with white ink. Visually there is no look for the printer from the back, no way to tell if is bulk system or cartridge system that could make it potentially a very close system and the supplies will be more expensive. Machine will be $4,000 for know only for printer, then add 2k or more easy for the shaker oven, so we could be looking at 6k or 7k for just the machines, then to be added the supplies. I know for sure they will improve any mistakes they do in this first version and make coming versions better.

They have 800 employees in their R&D division alone so I’m sure we’re gonna see some rapid changes if there’s any problems during the testing phase right now. @BitnerBuilt12 күн бұрын
So I just went and checked, I just went to their site the $2900 f13 says 4 sq ft per hr under the f&q “how fast does it print” - if your looking at the $5k f13 pro dual it is 16 square foot per hour now it doesn’t say the speed on procolord’s page they use a different metric saying a4 takes 4.5 min so I checked several places to ensure the 16 square foot per hour was correct looking at other vendors sites etc,you can look at heat press nation under specs, also confirming the 16 square ft per hour. The new xTool is 50 square ft per hour here’s the link www.heatpressnation.com/products/procolored-a3-pro-13-dtf-printer-double-oven-shaker-kit

@BitnerBuilt12 күн бұрын
So in the world of DTF printers to have a DTF printer that has the built-in shake and bake curing, you’re looking at $15-$30,000. Pro level machine so if this one comes in at around six maybe? with that functionality, that’s where everybody’s saying that it’s affordable. Around the 10 minute timeline I’m not sure if your audio is a little raspy or the powerhead gears are not meshing correctly with the saw attachment. I’m assuming that the audio is messing with my ears because you’re are not throwing a fit during this time. I bought the pole saw with powerhead kit to start my quiklok journey. The pole saw did what I needed it to do which was cut down a pine tree at my folks house that was snuffed out by the beetle. Since then I bought the weed whacker, the original hedge trimmer with the articulating head, the pack out mount that holds the powerhead and two attachments nicely on the wall, some of the single plastic plugs to hand more attachments from a hook or nail, and three 6Ah and one 8Ah HO batteries. My I WANT attachments is the 2nd gen hedge attachment, the rubber broom or bristle attachment, and maybe the blower. Oh and yes my pole saw leaks too. Polesaw chain price hack! I found out on some site a few years ago that the 10” blade is OEM Oregon chainsaws brand and you can save $10-$12 just buying Oregon brand blade with the same attributes. Before I learned how easy it was to sharpen my blade I bought two more and finally forced myself to learn the sharpening part of the trade. ☮️

Love your review, but not sure how you give the WeCreat a "4" when the 20W and 40W aren't even the same machine. Seems like that would have been a "2" in my book. And again, on community rankings. How do you subjectively give WeCreat a 4 after showing the disparaging gap between the two user communities?
@BitnerBuilt13 күн бұрын
So at the time of the video, the machine was able to engraving cut within all parameters producing good engravings and cuts. And at the time that I did this review, it was literally a brand new machine so the community was small but based on the amount of time in the comparison of four years difference, it seemed healthy. However, months later, I would agree with you on the two seeing as the company reached out to me to review their 40 W when they released that and I asked if they had fixed the camera issue they knew about and the answer was no. So putting out an additional product that they know has a defect to me completely tanks their credibility.

I typically ask for stuff that I want after researching, to complete a project. So usually my videos are me asking them, not them coming to me and then me trying to think of a build if you follow. For as small of a channel as I am you would be surprised in how many companies email me a day, so if it’s something I didn’t ask for it because I thought it was awesome in the first place! To this desk specifically, If you watch my video on my standing drill press table, I love that but it’s a T shaped leg so if I’m exerting a lot of pressure there’s some flex, and I end up having to raise the cast-iron plate underneath the table to stabilize it. So in this build, I wanted to get a four post standing desk and it’s pretty beefy as I anticipated it would be so definitely recommend it. Nice quality, accessories too, my wife’s told most of them for her desk at work. 🤣
