I bought the Bow Fence system at the show to put on my Dewalt DWE7491 jobsite tablesaw. Right now I'm ripping a bunch of 2 x 6 x 14' boards to do some massive butcher block table top glue ups. With the Bow Fence installed and a roller stand behind the saw I am feeding these boards through by myself without an issues. The long fence, fence supports, and feather boards work together to hold these 14' boards tight against the fence and tight to the table so all I have to do is push the boards forward through the blade. I have complete control without any wobble and I'm getting much straighter cuts. Totally love this setup.

Really good job. You get to show all the stuff others do not. Businesses grow….or are growing faster than they realize. This puts upfront so we know what is out there before we need to start looking. I LIKE IT!

For me, the beat product from these two days is the Bow Fence. It is very well built and pretty priced really affordable. Especially for those of us with with contractor or jobsite table saws. Generally companies don’t think about us and it is really great to see a tool made for us.

Yea very convenient and I like that they thought out a lot of it like adding the 2x4 mount on the shelf if your extending out far

Another thing you can use the Bow fence for is just as a straight edge, you can use the T track to clamp it down. I bet there are other clever uses yet to be discovered.

Really impressed with the Fortis Clamp products from what I saw here and their website. More expensive than pipe clamps, but more flexible in their use as well.

Yeah, that was one that I was surprised about. I walked past it a few times and then stopped looked and it all made sense to me. Definitely be picking up a few.

I agree as a former electrician i've used thousands of feet of unistrut and could have saved a ton of money by adapting it to my new hobby instead of buying aluminum manufactured stuff.

Liked the Bow demo. Great small business, and great products to add safety to your shop as well as improve accuracy. Can't ask for more than that. Microjig makes a great push block but their pricing is ridiculous for small plastic tools.

Yea that bow fence was very nice looking to grab one of those for my band saw!

I think I'm sold on the Bow fence for my bandsaw. I've got a couple of big resaws coming up that will definitely need the extra support. Helps that they showed it on my bandsaw too. 😂

Haha I have the same one! I actually shortened the interview (tried to keep all max of 4 min) and we talked about how useful it is on there, I did some milling of hardwood trees I took down and I had to build an outfit table for it, but this would have totally done the job

If only they could extend my table saw rip capacity, I’d give them double the price! Actually, maybe I just need a new table saw.

Do you think that the shaper cnc router is worth the investment? I can see it being very useful for Harmon door hinges but the last thing I want to do is trouble shoot a computer program when it can b buggy. Especially considering it’s in its earlier stages
@BitnerBuilt4 ай бұрын
So I have your traditional bed, CNC. Which can accomplish most purposes, however, it can’t do things that are already in place so for example, I’ve had people asking me to route something in a countertop and then add resin, or just some thing of a particular large size that wouldn’t be able to fit in the bed. I do like it a lot and it does keep you within the parameters that are set however, I haven’t been able to spend any extensive time with one, learning software and things like that, this was the third time I’ve had my hands on one. So I think it really depends on your use cases.
@GreasedDolphin4 ай бұрын
@@BitnerBuilt it seems like it can be useful for very niche things but I can’t see it being used every day in the field for installing doors and hardware. Knowing my guys (25 years experienced plus boomers) they won’t know how deal with trouble shooting and will probably suffer with a traditional router and making jigs

I've owned a couple Epilogs over the past 25 years. Both of them required odd workarounds to work properly. I jumped ship and have invested in Universal Lasers since then which have been great. I have many friends who own Trotec machines and are pleased with them as well. The hybrid laser has never made sense to me. While I am running the CO2, I have no access to the Fiber I have invested substantially in. Seems very inefficient from an investment standpoint.
@BitnerBuilt4 ай бұрын
Good to hear the feedback! I’m a big Laser fan and I was actually surprised that epilogue was the only main laser company there (outside mass manufacturing units) . I’m somebody that considers that it always comes down to the type of work you do. I have a galvo fiber and a separate co2, my fiber obviously has a very small bed, I looked at this one as the opportunity to have an add-on fiber to my CO2 that was on a larger bed for some new options but it’s not something that’s in my normal workflow. For me having two separate machines that were large bed styles would be more of a hindrance because I wouldn’t be using the fiber that much at that size. But for others, I totally understand what you’re saying, With somebody who’s running all machines at high production runs, dual machines won’t work. Send it.
