An okay Bond movie, falls into a typical 1960s spy flick - the absence of Sean Connery was surely a lack - Believe it or not, with time, OHMSS has become way overrated.

Great review of an excellent series. The lorry incident was, I think, to show that Matthew (and later his father, when he touched one of the stones) have some psychic abilities, which the evil landlord (the excellent Ian Cuthbertson) senses and which may explain how they are the only two who are able to resist+thwart Cuthbertson’s evil plans…🤣

The appearance of the lorry is meant to be a clue that they are trapped in a circle within the circle,this is showing the outside briefly breaking through.The somewhat bigger mystery in the story is where on earth do they get their food from if nothing can get in or out.Watched this on its first screening have to admit I didn't sleep well after the final episode
@TheChannel-00119 күн бұрын
@@robpinker1458 thanks for that. I had just left school when this was first broadcast and so missed it completely. I reckon the circle of time must be about 10 years given Hendrik retired to the village. So anything that happened in that period is repeated. I also think Hendrik’s plan of total control of the village is thwarted a different way each time. Perhaps Ms Smythe stops him in one loop, Adam in another, the kids in as mother and so on. Great story.

Does anyone miss the ubiquitous GB Car Badges we had to display when travelling abroad? Sure, UK (The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland) appears more inclusive, but wasn't it tacit that GB meant the same? (After all, we do not use "The United Kingdom of England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland). Seeing the GB badge make an appearance in this show reminded me of how we forget about subtle changes.
