10:00 I also draw EVERYTHING in procrate. And when I transfer the PSD to live2D it’s really a problem. It helped me to open the PSD in the clip studio. I do this: “share” -> select PSD -> select open in clip studio -> ENTIRE PSD opens in clip studio -> save from clip studio to disk, etc. If you don’t have Clip Studio on your iPad, then you can also save the PSD from ProCrate to Google Drive, download it to your computer, also open Clip Studio -> run the PSD into Clip Studio -> immediately click the “save PSD” button For using clip studio, you don’t need to do a crop like in Photoshop ---------- Also thanks for your video

Hey again Merely! I got all the way to importing and I’m finally done. Thank you so much for the tutorial you’re an awesome teacher! The only issue left is that my mouth won’t move. I’m skipping the Vbridger steps so that’s not the problem. When I was editing and following along I accidentally deleted the “Mouth Form” & “Mouth Open” parameters. However, I thought I could simply make new parameters with the same name and did all my work on the new ones with the same Max & Min values. I think that’s why it’s not picking up… is there anyway to fix this? It’s the only issue I’m stuck at now- I’m sorry for the second comment, but I’m not sure how to find a solution anywhere else 😭 If you have the time and see this thank you! If not I’m still so grateful for your tutorial!

Ive been making vtuber models for a long while now, and as ive gotten better at it its been equally frustrating that all the tutorials on youtube are all very "beginner" tutorials so I could never grow, learn more shortcuts, or advance my models. (I am a female but prefer he/him even if I'm genderfluid) My male OC is a silly guy I created and really would love to see him as a human, but I can't draw humans at all.. I don't like using AI cause.. It isn't unique and quite plain and boring. I want him to be special and whenever my friends draw him/fanart of him I explode. One day I promised myself that I will find someone or myself to draw my OC as a human/dragon human hybrid one day! (He is originally a dragon but gave him a human au!)

Hi Merely! Thank you for the tutorial! I’ve been doing great up until this point. At the 0:21 mark or where you put everything together I run into a problem. When I try to make “Head XY” as a deformer it says: Please create an object with the same parent deformer selected. I’m now lost lol. I’m thinking maybe it’s because in the top left box (sorry idk what the name is lol) my “Head Z” isn’t a folder it’s just combined with the rest of the contents? I know you don’t have to but if you could please attempt to explain how I could fix this I’d be super appreciative!

PS. Procreate layer limit depends on your IPad’s specs! I specifically upgraded to an IPad Pro (12.9 inch) 6th gen to get more layers🙏 DPI doesn’t affect the digital drawing, it is only a setting you set for printing! For other free softwares, Ibis paint should work too, and I’m gonna try to find free PC softwares, I saw some recommend gimp so feel free to try To combine the model in PS, ctrl+c on a folder in one file and shift+ctrl+v (shift to paste in center) in another file, then adjust the position, pretty straightforward!

Oh man, this was the hardest step by far. But I did it. When I become super famous (as if) I'll make sure to shout out this tutorial, lol.

i want to ask about a problem i ran into when adding 3 keyforms for the head. When adding that, suddenly the back hair (long hair) are pushed to the front making the neck and the upper clothes not visible. Is there a way to fix that? Thank you!!

I wish there had been a mouth glue tutorial ;; I tried to do it with the brow one but it doesn’t work at all, mouth is so different from brows, I have no clue what I am doing wrong…. maybe there can be a small mouth glue tutorial in the future, that would be awesome!
