Definitely worth it, the varnish is amazing and the experience very rewarding. Even low cost Chinese airbrush (all metal not those crappy ones made of plastic) will do, just the nozzle needs to be at least 0.3 or best 0.4. Happy modelling, Chris

Great Video, before I buy, I am just curious about how long does it take for the PE part to be somewhat firmly attached? Because I usually want to move on to the next step of assembly and I don't want to waste time by letting it dry for 24 hours. Does it pretty much get solidly attached in a minute or you have to wait for 24 hours? Thanks in advance for answering.

Hi there! Glue grips in seconds so you will be able to work at your preferred pace. The glue comes in several variants and there is also a dedicated debonder and filler powder which turns our glue into a fast curing putty. Happy modelling! Chris

It's really a good product, I spread this with my brushes and I leave it for about 30 min there, it takes off about 80% of the paint. I will try with softer brushes if they help the efficiency of this product. I put this in a spray bottle, but I regretted, it wasn't useful. Maybe a sponge will do the trick, but I'll see

Hi, newbie question here - when you spray the model, do you spray the entire thing? or do you spray in sections? I'm asking as it seems like the self levelling of the product would pool at the bottom of the sides (due to gravity) unless you place the model side up. Hope that makes sense?
@Vmssupplies26 күн бұрын
You can spray the top and side sections of model first then once it's dry you can do the bottom. The product will not run down due to gravity on vertical surfaces unless you really overdo it, no need to worry, it's user friendly. It's more a question of handling - you simply can't move the model around it it's wet, without disturbing the varnish with your fingers. Spray the top then the sides first, wait till dry, flip it and spray the bottom.

With the debonder how big of a risk is it that with cleaning glue parts also the PE parts will get loose again?

There is not much risk as the glue is not easily penetrated (it takes time) and even if affected will solidify once the debonder is gone, moderation and careful application are the key.

Hi there, and thanks a lot for commenting. The product does exactly what we show in the video, removes stubborn pigment residue, that is left after you have used weathering solvents (white spirit odourless turps etc). I've just used this product for the first time (ultra). Model is a Tamiya car body with a few layers of Vallejo water based, Tamiya acrylic and humbrol enamel. Compounded errors. Time to start again. Paint began to peel very quickly. I haven't soaked it but have gingerly applied product with a paint brush. Vallejo base coat and primer left which I will try again. My observation so far is that it is working but I wouldn't recommend this product for children. If you can, apply product outdoors with plenty of ventilation. Wear a respirator minimum P2 and gloves resistant to solvents. I began applying this indoors without a mask and the smell quickly took hold of me making me feel a little dizzy.

@garyrollins55334 ай бұрын
No-one who's ever driven or been in/on an AFV would drape a tarp as casually as most modellers do. I understand the technique but honestly... it's really naff and unrealistic. Ever seen a tarp or cam net after it's been anyway near a hot surface such as engine louvres or exhausts, or been dragged into the running gear? My unit rolled and strapped everything down - tight; like professionals would. Imagine driving through woodland or scrub and having anything not tied down ripped off. In my honest opinion it makes it look like, well, a model.

Great video. One tip - set the drill bit depth in the pin vise so that you can use the pin vise as a drill stop, Adjust the protruding bit so that when the pin vise bottoms out on the track, the depth is just shy of breaking through. Saves scrapping links, and keeps from stabbing your fingers.
