@adamGrass - Gerat Video .. On the missing feature number 1, I am using a feature called "Selection Follows the Playhead" which is under Timeline tab on the top.. This exactly does what you mentioned on the missing point one ... thank you

Thanks :) "Selection Follows the Playhead" is a bit different because that just highlights the clip under the playhead rather than the playhead moving around with the computer mouse cursor

Surely Apple can’t own the patent for a skimmer. That’s like a company trying to patent the idea for a timeline playhead, it’s just something that every editing software has. I hope Apple don’t have a patent for it though 😭

Don’t know how many times you use the word faster or speed it up… But I get paid by the hour. I don’t need to have things speed it up. The transcription effect is wonderful but I don’t need to take out all the pauses… Sometimes we like pauses because that’s how human beings talk. So I’ll take out the ones I want manually and leave the ones in that I want manually… at 80 bucks an hour… If it takes two more hours for me to edit some thing… Good for me. Your enthusiasm is infectious and it’s fun to watch your videos… But you’re a little whacked out.

In the release of Davinci Resolve version 80 you can customize the panels like an Adobe today... And version 130 Blackmagic fix the error of losing the filter between the clips (ColorBurn, Darken, etc.) during the Fusion transition in Edit page... Don't get me wrong, I'm a DaVinci user and I'll continue using it, so I'm outraged by poorly done things and unresolved old problems...

The favorites in the edit are shit, all hidden, instead of speeding up the workflow, it now slows it down. A lot of space becomes empty in the panel (that Black magic insists on leaving without customizing) Who implemented such a stupid thing..?

After spending more time in Resolve 19, I'd actually agree with you on this. They should have given us the option to make customisable folders in addition to this new folder structure we have now. Honestly all this would be solved if they just gave us the 'missing feature 2' that I suggested. So it's super quick and easy to apply an effect no matter which folder it's in.

Hey all. Just a quick note, I edited this whole video in Davinci Resolve 19 Beta. If you're planning on doing super important projects with deadlines, I'd recommend sticking with 18.6 for now. There wasn't any major bugs I encountered, but rather a bunch of slowdown and playback issues that definitely added on some extra time to my edit workflow. But I'm confident these will all be fixed once Resolve 19 is out of Beta 🙌

Yeah if you’re editing an important project, I wouldn’t recommend upgrading just yet. I edited this whole video in the beta and encountered a bunch of bugs. Nothing deal breaking but it definitely slowed my usual workflow down.

Can you explain where we can do this? I just redownloaded Davinci 18.6 and I can't see any option to do this, at least not in the edit page.

You know where you right clicked the viewer and allowed manual positioning, that option was always there (well idk when it was introduced but I haven't updated yet and I have it, 18.6.6) Its there on the edit page as well as fusion (in fusion there are 2 buttons for it in the top left as well

It's not supposed to be a stabiliser. It's supposed to help you hold heavier camera setups for longer and reduce a few footsteps. But it's by no means a replacement for any kind of stabiliser.

If you use windows, you can try things like auto hot key or touchcursor What it does is when your holding space key It will change the key layer like when i hold space + c become Ctrl + c It way more easy to press :D Touchcursor is easy to use but it limit just hold space key, just one With auto hot key i can map the space, capslock, tab key to do stuff Also you can buy the programable keyboard to do that, without the OS limit

Great video! I've been using teleprompters for maybe 3+ years and it's definitely a game changer for me. I picked this one up because the screen was attached and I didn't have as much cable mess with my Lilliput 11" display partnered with the Glidegear TMP100. We could argue that they do have a remove option in the streamdeck or the foot pedal, both of which I use to toggle back and forth between chapter without scrolling. The foot pedal is definitely worth it though Adam. But I do recognize that it's an additional cost unlike other prompters that come with a remote.

Makes such a big different in reducing your stress levels when talking to camera, especially for more technical videos where you can't just riff off a few bullet points without missing a bunch of important info. Yeah I was looking at the foot pedal elgato have, though it just seems overkill when a simple bluetooth remote would solve the issue right away. I emailed them with this suggestion so hopefully they can make it happen soon 🤞

A teleprompter makes all the difference! I just got one last year and it makes recording way easier and more enjoyable! I just have one that my phone goes into so maybe I'll get something like the Elgato one in the future. Seems worth it!

There are workarounds for cheaper versions of a Telepromter, but you'd have to buy all the individual parts separately on Amazon to make your own.
