Thanks for Watching, have some good vids on the 36, At some point, I will probably spring for a new V2, supposed to run even better than V1, just waiting for them to change the paint scheme a little bit. The best RC boat on the market given what you pay vs what you get.

You paid $500 for the boat and that’s exactly why it comes with a plastic prop. Do you expect a $40-50 metal, balanced prop to come on a $500 boat? Can’t be serious. You are really going to be upset when that self righting hull sinks
@MarksAultimateRC

Have you actually looked at the Sonic Wake 36? Direct competitor to this boat, more features runs better out of the box, telemetry, HAS A DRAIN PLUG, better transmitter, for less money. You can't be serious........ Never had one sink that's all I run, wow man.

The manufacturer of the pack has little to do with how the boat runs as long as you make sure that you compensate and get the weight right to maintain the center of gravity
@MarksAultimateRC
@MarksAultimateRC 4 күн бұрын
Which is what I said in the video, you have to have batteries that are similar in weight to the battery around which the boat was designed. SMC packs actually tend to be lighter than smart packs, which are lighter than a lot of batteries. That's why I was able to get similar performance from a 6000 SMC pack to a 5000 smart pack, minus the telemetry of course.

Probably because it's opposite on a real boat with a stern drive, which is where my boating experience is. Raise the lower unit to get the hull out if the water, lower to get it in the water. But this is a direct d shaft drive, so that's what makes it different.

I just maidened my Timber Evo V2 yesterday, complete with the AS3X+ update on the receiver. I went with the slats to get the full STOL bush plane experience and I was amazed at how well it flies. The new spring system held up to all of my ungraceful landings. I was really waffling back and forth on the Evo V2 or the Super and the smaller wingspan on the Evo sold me. I can transport it in my subaru forester without disassembling the wings and I don't think I could do that with the Super Timber (though the super appears to have an even easier system to disassemble the wings). I noticed in my flights that I almost couldn't get it to land with the flaps down even with it on the "take off" minimal setting. Maybe because of the slats in combination? but it really wants to stay in the air, once I got used to it I loved it.
