Thank you so much for this amazing video! Could you help me with something unrelated: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). Could you explain how to move them to Binance?

I wonder could you put a washing machine under the counter. I think a washer in a shower room is a great Idea. We don't really do it in Ireland but seen a lot in Spain and Portugal. Love following along with you.

🙂 I heard they have very cute squirrels in this region and thats maybe what it was, in your bathroom........ the only problem I see with this big peace of tile is, if it ever came loose that would be a problem ...therefor in a damp room I would feel safer with little tiles...but that is just me.

Now that you've got it opened up down to the walls you can redesign it anyway you want! I would put the toilet where the bidet used to be since the plumbings already there, but place the toilet facing the shower and tub area. That would give you so much more room in that bathroom. The sink and toilet would be on the left and the tub and shower would be on the right giving you a nice layout❤

Tile on the shower wall side and breathable paint etc on the other walls. How about extractor fan for the bathroom or a 🪟 small window

There's no need to apologize for your online presence, JD. I enjoy the way you light up when you're taking about things you're passionate about. You project an inner peace and that is very attractive. I'm sure that's part of why your channel has grown so fast. Keep going - I love your vlogs.

I didn't expect the shower wall to be so heavy. While you were holding and pulling the big bottom piece and it fell to the floor, as it pulled you down with it. I said, WOW, this man is strong. No wonder you were worried about the entire wall falling down on you. Taking down the other tiled wall was tame compared to the intensity of the shower wall. Good job and good video as always!!!!!!!!!
@neutonrenda2303Күн бұрын
Wow I was surprised at how that second wall came away in huge slabs. The only drawback with those huge tiles is just how awkward it is to work with being heavy and fragile at the same time. The other thing is if the wall is internal that you are tiling, it should have less chance of collecting moisture. I can't wait to see what you do in there. Greetings from Cape Town 👏❤️

Be careful with those really big tiles. They require a completely flat and very secure surface. They aren’t the time saver you might think.
@busybeaver793Күн бұрын
Since this is the bathroom, use water proof gyp rock on the wall and ceiling surfaces. You do not want mold.

You may find that the big tiles are too heavy. Glass mosaic tile is very small and easier to work with. Use weight as the indicator
@vivalaletaКүн бұрын
Why did you remove all the tiles? I thought they looked fine.
@SweetOne.Күн бұрын
JD had to remove the tiles to get at the plumbing so he can install the pipes from above so he has access for repairs in the future also so that he can move the placement of the sink and shower and to make repairs to the top of the walls where the water damage eroded the wall tops. He is recycling/reusing everything he can so it wasn't an easy choice for him to break them all up, but the way they were put on made it impossible to save them. I've been watching since the beginning, so far I am very impressed. He is a very smart man and knows his stuff, although learning new ways to repair old structures he knows enough to understand what information is valid or not. He as many skills and talents we could all learn a lot from his 'Whales' of knowledge.

Should you be putting a wire screen on the walls before you plaster them again? Like when you use cement, to stiffen and secure the cement? I would think that would make the walls less crumbley.
@pattiwhite9575Күн бұрын
Good thinking to leave an air gap in the wall. I also would suggest a fan in the bathroom. Either to exhaust humidity or just to blow around the room after use till dry. We don't want mold. Happy Thanksgiving to you.

Pro tip, when you are trying to unscrew something that big you can put an adjustable wrench on the flat head for leverage.

just make sure you put new pipes in. Old ones are a hassle, they are gen metal and rust and clog everything.
@My15KHouse14 күн бұрын
yep, they're galvanized steel and already past their life expectancy, the parts I've taken out already were pretty corroded on the inside

@ we’ve renovated a old apartment for a client and he insisted in keeping old plumbing pipes with new heater and boiler. We’ve informed him multiple times that it will clog the new heater and he just said he doesn’t care. To be called 2 weeks later that water does not work and to end up replacing all pipes with visible ones on the wall because of it. (Which look awful) Do it right the first time.

We remodeled the bathroom in this 1965 house. My 70 year old husband hammered and sawed that old blue tub for two days because it was only coming out in pieces. He hauled the pieces to the scrap yard and it weighed 450 pounds!

Great job. Those tubs are hard to remove! We removed one very similar to this for a friend. The moment we broke through one of the tijolos, sand started pouring out. 😂 Guess they used sand as insulation?
@christinamirkovic385717 күн бұрын
The sand down from the tub isn't for insulation. Is to sit the tub on the sand. Here in Greece, we have the same system as Portuguese do for the tubs, also the sifona on the floor for the gray water. Except the toilet of course, don't goes in the same sifon.
@notyouraveragegringos16 күн бұрын
@christinamirkovic3857 The tub we removed has feet, so it doesn't need to sit on anything. We used it outside to cool off in the summer and watered the garden from it as well.
