If the race continued after my friend just died after being trapped under a burning car for 8 minutes I don’t know what I would do.

Lewis Hamilton 2016. " safety is fine as it is " Lewis Hamilton in 2021 literally only not being decapitated because of the halo. Like for real 100% would have had his head smashed threw if that very devise he said wasn't needed and how ugly it was. Lmfao well its not as ugly as your corpse would have been pal lmfao

A masterly, carefully and sensitively made series on F1. The script and narration in both parts 1 and 2 are very well done. Congratulations.

No the reason it hurts is because F1 and now the FIA have no regard for human life , be it Driver ,Marshall ,or Spectator and as long as the money keeps rolling in they never will , you have the likes of Sir Jackie Stewart Niki Lauda , and lots of drivers since that were and still are campaigning for higher higher safety standards , you had one of the worlds leading neurosurgeons telling them that the standards were too low and only death will come of it , and guess what HE WAS RIGHT RIP Sid Watkins i have lived through those bad times seen all of the crashes from mid seventies up to today , i have been a trackside Marshall for 25 yrs before i had to give up due to health reasons , and i can 100%tell you i witnessed rules and regulations being broken and all because it will affect the money train , i honestly thought the Poison Dwarf was the worst of the money grabbers , but Liberty Media make him look like it was pocket money stealing ,but after saying all that some of the blame must be shouldered by the Teams and Drivers if they would all take a stand and stick together and insist this is done or that is done , then we will not race at your event Yes we know it will cost millions in law suits etc but what price is put on a human life ? 2 things need addressing straight away THE CARS AND THE TRACKS , either slow the cars to suit the track or upgrade the tracks to suit the cars , i mean F2 and F3 cars are not far off F1 speeds now and you allow kids to drive on same tracks that F1uses how many of those kids have been injured or killed ? .so my friends that why it hurts so much because most if not all of the recent deaths and serious injuries would NOT happened if those safety and medical procedures were put into action But of course and off the above will never be done because it costs money , and only one winner in that fight its the money men as for TEAMS AND DRIVERS they could not stick together if yo handcuffed and threw buckets of super glue over them .

That would be the 1966 film 'Grand Prix'. It's a good film, especially if you like watching authentic racing scenes from that period 🙂

45:57 that for potential injury/death is one of the worst multi car accidents I’ve seen. The difference in speeds on impact is scary. Going to look this one up in more detail

The designers of F1 cars do build em strong. I'll give em that. Some of these crashes look unsurviveable its amazing.

As sad as all of this documentary demonstrates, racing has learned from its mistakes and racing today has changed and safety is taken seriously at every level.

Outstanding documentary yet once again. Very emotional and somber. On the bright side, I am a car guy and collector. Your documentary's provide a great look and F1 cars over the years.
