11:57 Spooky to see the “high fir tree”. I could here Jackie Stewart’s commentary from 1973: “You’re approaching the famous Karussel and if you look forward, you see the high fir tree. Now, we aim the car at that high fir tree; and if I put this car on the line for the fir tree, I go exactly into the bowl of the Karussel. And there you are, into this bowl, it’s a second-gear corner, you’re accelerating round this corner, out you come. The car lifts itself out of the bowl; if you come out too early, the car’ll just fly straight over to the barrier.”

My PC can't run stuff like this so I'm glad to see someone else do it for me full and uncut.

Drive around the full track 5 times with the slowest car you can find

That would be the 1885 Benz Patent Motor Car & I think Jimmy Broadbent did a lap time of just over an hour so I may pass on that one 😅

I have the Lotus 49 on iracing. I don't dare race it against people however, not for a while. It's very hard to handle especially without assists such as auto blip etc
@MotorMad10 ай бұрын
I've driven it on AC & GPL without any assists & yeah I don't understand how they drove those things 😅. I can get around old Silverstone in a decent time but that's me being extremely gentle with it

Pretty cool,what they call these cars?? Bathtub bombs or something like that, good thing it was before radios,Enzo would be yelling at you.😂

These are very difficult cars to drive.

You should do Imola 1994 layout and try to beat the track record at the time. I think that would be fun challenge and a fitting tribute to Ayrton & Ratzenberger.

Have you done the 1970s layout of Silverstone??

Have you checked with other VR youtubers isn't there way to stabilize VR screen capture? Nice clip anyways

I don't think there is. I just move my head too much 😂. If I'm racing in my own time I hardly move my head at all, but when I'm recording I seem to talk with my head 😅

Bazza has a lump of coal here. If they releas a GPL mod with tracks and fixed Ai so you can run a complet championship. Then i can say it is a replacment of the real GPL. But till then it just a mod.

Hmm, as far as the "most challenging" circuits in F1 history go, not to discount the Nurburgring, but it doesn't necessarily stand alone. You've also had: Old Spa was unquestionably intimidating, not only for its outright speed, but for all the little spots that could catch you out, because it's not as simple as it looks on paper. Bremgarten, as seen with the 1967 cars in AC, is just an utterly relentless circuit. Clermont-Ferrand is shorter, but still has quite some similarities to the Nurburgring. And after that drawn-out run following Belvedere, you pile on the speed around the back. Hopefully we'll get to see it in not too long thanks to Italotracks, but Pescara I can't imagine is even remotely easy, especially once you get up into the hills away from the coast. And then there's Montjuich Park, which I wouldn't characterize as any less daunting than Monaco, is faster, and you have that double-jump heading into the 1st braking zone. It's rather tougher to take a look at this same question for the old FIA WSC with sims as they currently are, since a number the most grueling courses from that series simply don't yet exist in any proper form. I know Fat-Alfie had started on Mugello Stradale, but that's merely the tip of the iceberg when you then look at the 1953-57 seasons.

6 and half minutes until we get any action... maybe compress a bit, very little of that information was really interesting. 2 minutes would be a better length for that, tops.
@MotorMad10 ай бұрын
Yeah I agree. For some reason I've always struggled to make my intros shorter & I don't really know what to do about it. But I'll try to compress them more next time 👍

why dont you shut up and concentrate on what you are doing and have a running commentary after the event

Yeah you lost me on the whole "shut up" part 🤦♂️ I will never shut up.
