I especially love Mr. Pharaoh Sanders when he collaborated with Mr. Norman Connors when they played Thembi. Thembi is my favorite song by him. As all has already stated, he is being missed.

If I was asked to describe love through music, I would tell you to go listen to Pharaoh Sanders. Coltrane was supreme but Sanders is like an offering for the Lord, beautiful, true and full of his heart.

All I can really say is just, thank you sir. I was lucky enough to see Pharoah Sanders in a small Jazz Club in North Hollywood called Dante's. I was just a young kid back then. And I am still affected by that night pure music. Thanks again

So this brought tears to my eyes...Tis is the first I've heard of this Light, this Earthly Lantern, now Ascended Master. Just the sight of Him, his everything I can't find a word for coupled with the supporting sounds... I feel compelled to apologize and to show gratitude, to paint and to write and to sing...Pharoah means King. He seems to have been so much more...in this solitary instant......
