@superjumboracing10 күн бұрын
The adaptive cruise control uses the radar in the lower grille and the camera in the windscreen. Maybe the water is affecting these somehow? I have had issues with it when I have condensation on the inside of the windscreen. Sometimes the inside of the windscreen is clear, but the area where the camera is, is still misty as the housing stops the demisting (if that makes sense?)

Good to see someone is documenting a supercharger installation, what are you going to do for ECU mapping i assuming chris Flanagan is going to provide you with a base map
@superjumboracing13 күн бұрын
Thanks for the comment. The supercharger is from a Dreadnought car, so I am currently using that map. I think I will be adding forged rods and pistons, then a new map through Chris.

@SteveMillersm10113 күн бұрын
Good luck, just be mindful that the extra loading can be detrimental to the engines longevity. I am on my third engine, not all due to the additional power! The first went due to water ingress and subsequent misfires, the second "let go" when pressing on a bit. I now have a fully forged and balanced Teskid unit from Modular Head Shop in Florida. Will be watching all instalments.

I don’t think all of the Giulias have the radar already fitted, but I could be wrong! The radar should be behind the shiny plastic part in the front grille, I don’t know if you can remove the cover, and physically look for the radar module behind? Does your car have autonomous breaking, as surely that must use the radar?

I use this all the time, but maybe different than you might think. When in heavy traffic and traffic yams. Just set it to shortest distance and it will accelerate and break with the traffic flow and if you come to a full stop behind another car and the traffic starts moving again, just tap the acceleration pedal and it will start to follow the flow again. It's magic to be honest, just a little daunting if it's going to break when you're rolling up to the car in front of you for the first time, but you get used to it. Works flawlessly for me and saves me my sanity.

Thanks for your Trim-Fix recommendation. I bought 3 tins, 500g. I used 2 tins to lay on a lavish amount of adhesive. The headlining had been replaced at some time and it was dangling like soggy curtains in the middle, extending the full length. ...It was easy to remove the lining from the base, AND...the backing was sponge and undamaged. I started by sticking down the middle, and then after this was stuck down, worked around the sides. Reason being, the middle of the headlining can be subject to tension if you just stick everything and flatten down the middle towards the sides. ANYWAY........IT WORKED....so, I'm Mr. Smartypants. Sidenote....After reattaching the headlining, I read the small print on the tin. It said 'Not suitable for headlinings'. Well....it certainly worked. Thanks for your help. You're a Star. Good news on the MOT! I ended up using around one and a half cans, but I messed up one door card and had to do it again. My most important tip, is to try and follow the dips in the door card, when putting the material on, and to try and get the material into the dips without stretching, if that makes sense? For instance, don’t lay the material flat down over the complete door card, then try and stretch it down into the dips/recesses.

Ones is done and job finish you need to jump into the car directly pump several times brake pedal till the moment it will "grow up" then you can start ignition. If you skip that process ecu will detect it and take it as a leaks from braking system. As a respond it will block some sections on abs pump and brakes won't work at all or just a side. Additionally you will get "Christmas tree lights" on your dashboard/cluster. It that case without computer your car will be INOP.
