I use this all the time, but maybe different than you might think. When in heavy traffic and traffic yams. Just set it to shortest distance and it will accelerate and break with the traffic flow and if you come to a full stop behind another car and the traffic starts moving again, just tap the acceleration pedal and it will start to follow the flow again. It's magic to be honest, just a little daunting if it's going to break when you're rolling up to the car in front of you for the first time, but you get used to it. Works flawlessly for me and saves me my sanity.

Most of those errors are when you reconnected the battery. All you do is 2 turns of the steering wheel full lock and you will clear them.

Thanks for the comment. I cover turning the steering wheel to clear fault codes in one of my battery videos. Unfortunately for the cruise control video, it didn’t work, I could only clear them with the Multiecuscan.

Great video, thank you for posting. Your veloce looks fantastic. Hopefully collecting my speciale next week and I would like to enable ACC+, AutoDimming beams and retrofitting the reverse camera. All of which id require the MultiECUscan software. Where did you buy it from, and qhich subscription level is required? Looking forward to more Guilia content. Thanks

Thanks for the comment. I bought my MultiECUscan from Gendan. I purchased other leads, so I could use it on my son’s Fiat, so that added to the cost. I would give Gendan a call, they are really helpful. I paid £158.90 for everything I needed. On my car, I just needed the switch pack and the MultiECUScan. my car already had the front camera and the radar. So just make sure you know exactly what is needed. I hope that helps. 👍🏼

@@superjumboracing Thanks for the pointer, I have emailed their sales team this evening. Picked the car up today and am looking forward to tailoring her to my needs. I hope you’re enjoying your Giulia, car collection day, is always an exciting one! My car did come with auto high main beam (someone went to town with the options!) It works pretty well I think. Not as fast as a human, but not that far off. The lock beep outside your house in the early hours of the morning sounds like a fog horn! Good luck with your car.👍🏼

@@superjumboracingHi, how do you know if you have the camera required? my car has the crash detection feature, aka the automatic braking and the radar on the front grille, does this mean I could fit this? I have a 2019 giulia quadrifoglio
@samuel62314 күн бұрын
@@superjumboracingfinally got round to fitting the new button cluster today. It fought me all the way getting it off and back on again. Luckily I had no breakages and it went back in reasonably straightforward. Think I'm the opposite to you, I struggled more with the fitting of the buttons than I did with the reprogramming of the car. In total took me about 1hr30 including test drive. I was at least an hour messaging around with the buttons though. I had previously enabled the auto beams which seem to work well. I did have an issue with constant 'FCW not available -Clean Screen' messages. I found a spider had moved inside the camera compartment and had built some webs obstructing it. On cold days it would build condensation on the webs. Cleaning it out was pretty straightforward and put some rainx anti fog on the screen there too. One to look out for in future.

Is it possible to have CC and ACC both available, to choose one or the other? ACC fails when the front radar gets unabled for whatever reason.

In the raining my cruis is getting errored .. then I have to load car with 4 persons and in sunny day it will work again… any suggestions why it’s happening?! Or because it is Alfa ?!
@superjumboracingАй бұрын
The adaptive cruise control uses the radar in the lower grille and the camera in the windscreen. Maybe the water is affecting these somehow? I have had issues with it when I have condensation on the inside of the windscreen. Sometimes the inside of the windscreen is clear, but the area where the camera is, is still misty as the housing stops the demisting (if that makes sense?)

Which MY is this? There was a recall regarding ACC malfunction (it would accelerate instead of slowing down if it detected a slippage) which had a software update as a fix. Non ACC equiped models didn’t get it, so be aware.

@superjumboracing Do you know if all cars have the radar as standard or how I can tell if it has a radar installed already? Mine has the front facing camera for lane assist which I've heard is needed for the ACC to work.
@superjumboracing2 ай бұрын
I don’t think all of the Giulias have the radar already fitted, but I could be wrong! The radar should be behind the shiny plastic part in the front grille, I don’t know if you can remove the cover, and physically look for the radar module behind? Does your car have autonomous breaking, as surely that must use the radar?
@samuel62314 күн бұрын
@@GitheadJrfrom what I have read all UK models have the radar and camera fitted as standard. Depending on the options taken for whoever purchased the car from new would depend on what other hardware is fitted (ie Buttons) and software enabled. For instance my Giulia Speciale did not have auto beam, AAC+ fitted, however by adding the ACC+ buttons and enabling it along with the auto beams in the software, it works. If you are not from the UK then one give away might be the 'FCW (forward collision warning'. This uses the radar to scan the road ahead, therefore if you have that plus the camera then you should be able to install without issue.
@GitheadJr14 күн бұрын
@samuel623 thanks for replying. I have the forward collision warning as well as the auto lights and lane departure warning. I'm going to enquire about getting adaptive cruise programmed when my Alfa Romeo warranty runs out!
