If the USS Galaxy NCC-70637 (witch was 17 years when she was seen on screen in ds9 taking massive hull damage in late 2374 at the first battle of chin toka) is still in service by the time of Star Trek Picard it will be 43 years old having been launched in 2357 though still no on screen canon to confirm this

I know you may never see this in years but helpful video he is scared just as I am cause he had a few escape atements and I am scared that he is going to run around the house until I catch him and I dont wanna hurt him I just want him to feel comftrable around me and that I could pick him he is now feeling a bit more brave so thank you kind person on the internet :)

Mine are so different, one will climb all over me, the other wont, but the one that wont, will let me stroke her anywhere, whilst eating, but the other wont let me touch her, and goes running into cover, then turns and puts her bum in the way 🤷🏻‍♂️😂

Wait a minute. When it was first seen in Search for Spock, the Excelsior was comparable in size to the Constellation class Enterprise. This shows it on the far side of a Galaxy class ship and it's a near match?

You're mistaken, my friend. In Search for Spoke and in all TMP era films, the Excelsior was HUGE compared to the Constitution class Enterprise. The Constitution is a bug compared to the Excelsior. Hence McCoy stating "My god. That's a BIG ship." in ST VI. At the time of ST III, the Federation had never produced any startship even remotely close to that size. You can google the size difference between the two ships. The Connie is at the 300 meter range while the Excelsior is pushing 511 meters (according to the DS9 technical manual). While not really as wide/bulky as many of the larger 24th century ship classes, the Excelsior is still very much one of the larger cruiser classes in the fleet.

Streaming has been VERY good for Star Trek though. TONS of people are now discovering Deep Space Nine for the first time and wondering WTH they spent the last two decades ignoring it :)

The best thing we can do if we want more Star Trek, is to boycott the crap that CBS is currently producing and hope that they sell the franchise to someone who actually LOVES ST. Hey there! I'm afraid your observation is incorrect. This is the exact same model of Excelsior that appeared in Star Trek III, IV, V, and VI, as well as in TNG, DS9, and the last episode of Voyager. No additional windows have been added. This is an exact replica, right up to the colour scheme on the hull.

@@tonyf8167 Ah ok. Sorry. I thought you were saying the model I used (11 years ago, omg time flies) wasn't accurate. Most federation starships are heavily lined with viewports and windows. The Galaxy, Excelsior and Ambassador class ships especially. Then again, those ships are basically luxury cruise liners in space.

A lovely video. We made a home made gerbil cage over 3 years ago. We sadly lost our gerbils earlier this year. We are buying some new gerbils so are building another home made enclosure for them. I was very interested in how you've fitted the glass doors on. Extremely good idea, which we are going to use for ours:) Your degus look so happy with their home :)
