Nice to see this is coming out, but I'll stick with my remastered CDs which sound absolutely terrific.

Born of the '60s New Age and folk boom, yet triumphantly breaks free of it to become timeless

The best band of the 60s, and their virtually unknown. All 5 were absolutely incredible at their parts. Jacqui's vocal control is unparalleled

An amazing folk outfit I haven' t listened to for ages, but must reconnect with them. Cheers from an Aussie ex-pat in Cambodia. Who is also hooked on the Arthurian legends. Thanks for the lovely vocals, Jacqui 🎉 😊.

Grounded and with extraordinary talent. Britain should be very proud of what it delivered with this combination of individuals. It probably couldn't have happened at any other time and I suspect that's why we still cling to it.

I moved from Sydney, to Adelaide, in 1972 and was introduced to Pentangle by my Cousin. We were lucky enough to go to a concert of theirs later that year, i think, at the Thebarton town hall, which is still there. Magical concert and still listen the their music. Your voice Jacqui, is angelic, thank you.

As a young teenager Pentangle was the first folk band I ever recall hearing. So it was to me that this is what folk was like. I was disappointed to discover that other folk performers didn’t have swinging rhythms and eloquent bass lines. Left permanently seeking Pentangle. I did get use to my disappointment though and discover some great traditional performers 😊hey ho

I think people are tired of the contrived trendy junk the music industry is pushing these days . Pentangle offers a higher level of professional musicianship than most modern bands . That's what's why I listen to them . I'm defiantly getting the box set 👍👍🙂

Basket of Light is one of those rare albums that is perfect all the way through. "Hunting Song" is a fantastic piece of work - acoustic folk/prog at its finest.

I agree and it has been my favorite song since I first heard it in 1971.

I'm 56, only discovered Pentangle 6 months ago. What an extraordinary band! They had way too much artistic integrity to have sold out to commercialisation..this is why they remain a hidden gem for those lucky enough to find.

I bought the first album 1969 blew me away and immediately turned my strumming guitar playing in to all picking and open tunings and all hell broke out in my mind lol

About the same time, I picked up Transatlantic's "Contemporary Guitar Sampler" featuring Bert, John and Pentangle among others. Pretty much learned the whole album by ear - but never could play John's "Day At the Seaside". 😄

I love Pentangle. They got me through college over 50 years ago. I just listened to the group earlier today.

Absolutely superb. However, my wish is for a Blu-ray of the best television appearances. Pentangle live - visually and aurally - is what the band excelled at. Anyway, how wonderful in 2025 that we have the amazing Jacqui with us introducing such a gift as this boxset ❤

I'm primarily a rock/metal guitarist/musician. However, I'm a big fan of jazz & old English folk.... and Pentangle do it to the highest of levels. It's like Wes Montgomery mixed with the folkier side of Led Zeppelin....with Joni Mitchell singing 🤘🥰🤘
